More Sunset Orange pics

It depends on how much sun. OP M2C pictures are an overcast day. The M850i pics, not a cloud in the sky.

Why does this have to be so HARD? They should have given us one or two easy paint choices, like LBB and MG on the original... I'm sticking with SO, even though it makes me sigh in most pictures. If it's as boring as I'm worried it is, it will get a wrap at my expense to make me happy(and my ride fun). The HS is equally worrisome, as it looks so pearl white in so many pictures. I hope that works out for all the believers...

Off the subject. I'm looking at that M135i and thinking how awesome it would be if BMW made an M2 version of that, and sold it worldwide.

I don't think its boring but its getting a bit common ( bit like EBII but not as much)
I think this color will pop and will be great in a sunny country.
I would maybe consider it if i wasn't in Belgium

The close up of the wheel, you can clearly see the glossy tint. I suspect 2QT will be more of a raw diamond cut finish.

Yes. I exchanged a number of emails with the dealer yesterday. It will be shiny metal, not that hideous white alloy look. Should look terrific with the black contrast. I LOVE the 29U from face on, but at an angle they do have a touch of the “lost hubcap” look which puts me off darker wheels. Short answer. I’m now excited about the silver ones. With the HS and shiny wheels it’s going to be a classy James Bond look. Can’t wait!

I think the bottom line is that HS and SO are tough to capture accurately. All the photos I’ve seen of HS make it look like Mineral White with just a hint of silver. In person, HS looks like a light grey; you have to look very closely to see the metallicness. It is much like MW in that respect.

We decided to go with LBB after initially planning on SO. So far have viewed Sunset Orange in person on multiple cars under different types of lighting, and it simply has too much brown in it. When the car is clean and in direct sunlight, it looks ok (best), but otherwise, it's not enticing. Just an opinion, of course, given while lamenting not being able to buy the M2C in a real red (Japanrot for example) or even a real red-orange (i.e. Mars Red) color.
