US Cars - Folding Rear Seats?
Simple question, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. Does the US Spec 2019 M2 Competition have the 60/40 fold down rear seats? Not that I'm going to be hauling 2x4s with it, but it would be nice if my long rifle fits for trips to the range...
BTW, my 2011 E90 335i doesn't have that feature and it's a pain!

Thanks for the verification. Much appreciated. Now the long wait for February 15th!

Yes, unusually for BMW the seat's fold 60/40 for no cost. Even F10 M5 had to pay extra for that!
If you pay for "through load option" you get 40/20/40 split and centre rear armrest with pop out cupholders (which I treated my daughter to)... |

We didn't have the option of picking the through-load option in the US, as far as I could tell. Weird thing to leave off considering all the things that we had no choice but to have (looking at you, big huge brakes...).

I would opt for the through loading as your get the armrest and also makes it easier to fold the opposing seat if you have a child seat fitted

.. I shoot too, just clays with over&under or semi auto 12g shotguns though.
But the gun slips are 60" long which is too tight for sideways in the boot. Middle hatch is perfect for that |

Smaller coupes have always had that as standard - E46, E36 and E92 certainly - not sure about the 4 series though. The older 6 doesn’t have them as standard, but the boot on that is pretty generous anyway.

Lordy look at that glass! She's a beut.
Can confirm folding seats, used them to sleep in car in the alps a few times during ED. Side Note: Jealous of the Germans and their beer vending machines, parked and slept right next to one... |

Not sure why we don't get this 40/20/40 split rear seat option in the US coupes (available in US convertibles & SUVs only) but I wish we did; I would certainly spring for this extra $250 (S465A) option.
