Pad drag with carbotech xp10 M2C

Anyone experience pad drag with the carbotechs; xp10s or 12? It’s pretty noticable after the 1st-2nd session. I can come to a stop at the staging line and not even have to hold the brake. A result of smearing/overheating pads? :

I have used Carbotechs on my previous car (also with a 4piston brembo front setup). I used 10s and 12s, neither of which had this issue.

Is it consistent, or does it only happen sometimes? It may be a piece of debris or something preventing the brake pistons from retracting all the way once you release the brake pedal. Do you feel pull to one side?

No uneven braking & they actually work well. Seems like the hotter I get them the better bite and release characteristics I get out of them. but this pad drag I have not figured out. Maybe I have not been getting them hot enough.

I tend to hear some light pad drag with a couple different pads when I’ve badly cooked the dust boots, especially shortly after coming off track, but it’s never been bad enough to slow the car.

One thing that did cause some more severe drag for both me and a friend was when we’ve failed to center the spring on the pad retaining pins. This is on the blue OE Brembos.
