Track Tune Suggestions

I'm posting this here instead of the tuning section because I've had a few different tunes already for increased power that just didn't bode well on the track. Either to torque heavy, or reliability issues.

Is anybody having success with a tuner for higher horsepower track tunes? The end goal is 500whp max I don't think this car needs much more than that to be fast.

Right now I'm just using a stage 1 OTS tune from BM3

I'm using pro-tuning freaks now but have no issues with switching to MHD or something else.

Also not looking for anyone to big would like to dial this in on the dyno and on the track.

Thank you!

I've been happy with Enabled's tune on track.

I went to dyno the other week and saw the tuner that runs the dyno comparing the trace to a bunch of F8x tunes he did. One big difference was that all of his tunes had a higher torque spike down low compared to Enabled's, but Enabled's peak hp at high rpm was typically a bit higher. Reigning in that torque spike around 3000rpm (and keeping it flat) is one of the keys to maintaining drivability.

Increased cooling capacity with an upgraded intercooler and a custom tune on Ecutek or BM3 would be where I’d be headed for 500whp on a M2C seeing track duty.

I’ve read good things about Bend Calibration but have no personal experience with a custom tune myself as my OG is fuel limited.

Have you done any logging on track to review any data?

Just installed the aim can system to be able to review all the data more effectively. And the cooling is pretty much taken care of at this point but definitely a good call!

Yeah I've heard of bend too figured I'd see what luck people have had here there's just to many tuners only focused on dyno numbers it's tough to navigate these days

Working with Bend Calibration on my comp. Ecutek & flex fuel to be able to run full E85. Wagner intercooler & iPE exhaust. Moving to Wagner's other coolers as well as a Mishimoto DCT cooler. Very much a fan of BC's philosophy about track tuning - not looking for a glory hp but good reliable power. Still I do expect to be pushing towards 500 hp with my setup.

Yeah I had way to high power at e85 and namely the torque curve was a nightmare so I'm curious how that goes for you!

I'll check out BC I've heard their name thrown out there quite a bit that's definitely the philosophy I'm looking for.

Good people - definitely worth chatting them up. They will be tuning my OG time attack build when its ready to go as well - but that one is still a ways out

Bend calibration! 100% recommend. They worked with me to develop a max power tune and a "safe" tune. I've mostly tracked on the safe tune and then beat the car on the street on the max power tune. Either way the car has ran like a top!

Can't say enough good about bend and ecutek! Last bit….just do it!
