First time ever on track (Zolder)
Hi,
Last sunday my first time ever on track (Zolder / Belgium) with a car. It felt amazing The car (M2 Competition) was standard except the tires (Michelin PS 4S). I have the big brakes, but at Zolder they were insufficient. Now I have a humming sound when I brake. And with the Gopro (helmet) Gopro helmet second part |

It is very hard on the brakes though with the 3 chicanes/switchbacks after longish straights. The humming is likely from pad deposits on the brakes. This is common with the OEM pads when used on track. My recomendation is you replace them with some track pads (Pagid RSL 29 is my choice) and this will clean the deposits and remove the humming. If you plan to track more I would also look into uprated fluid (Castrol SRF /Motul RBF 600 or 660 / Endless RF 650 are all good choices) and maybe look into some brake cooling (check my profile for ideas, I sell some 3D printed scoops to achieve this). Most importantly keep having fun! PS: your lines are pretty good, where you following the white M4 as a learner?

I will defenitly upgrade the oil and maybe the brakelines and pads as well. No I was not following the M4 as a learner When I came on track he already had done a lap so his car was on temp and I was in my warm-up lap. I always wanted to pass him, but I couldn't. So I had to outbrake him with a litlle bit sweat in the hands My fastest lap was when I had open track (folowing nobody) 1.53.7 |

You may have some luck at the dealer but BMW is pretty clued up as to what is going on and seem to deny a lot of brake warranties. I know different brake pads are a pain in BE due to the APK there but trust me they are worth it on track.
