That Etsy one seems nice, all these covers make the key way too bulky in my experience. What I would like is some kind of Alcantara leash.

I have a little "2" key chain from the BMW parts counter on the FOB. I keep that setup in an Oakley German flag bag for protection.

Agreed. I got one of these and I love it. The ones I have seen on Amazon look terrible.

I still want to do the X5M key eventually though, assuming the guy still does it.

I just ordered one of those, interested to see how it is. Pretty expensive though.

Love it. Our MC2 has the rectangle size. The alcantara doesn’t slip out of your pocket and is padded so it doesn’t scratch anything it sits on. FYI, Don’t over torque the blue Allen bolt. I used a drop of blue locktite on the threads. Put a return address sticker on the inside of the light blue leather lining.

FYI: This is a pic of the triangle size for the new G05 and NOT for the square M2C fob. The M2C Part number: 82292355518

Keep in mind, there is two different versions of the M Performance key fob case; as you see below, the "M Performance" italics from the older version to the more revised one..

Just a little FYI, If that makes a difference to anyone..

And just to add, get a genuine OEM part as the knock-offs are crap. I have a knock off on my spare key and it is crap compared to my OEM ones.
The correct OEM M2C case should have this part #82292355518

It’s the oem key to my new G05 X5 50i M-Sport. I bought 2 new BMW’s in 2019 including the M2C. I believe it’s the new key fob for all new 50 series BMW’s across the line.

Some guy on the forums can swap an M2C key for the new X5 key but it’s ~500 bucks if I remember correctly...

My cover for the square key came in. Pretty nice. But makes it bulky. Good for a backup though. I prefer my Oakley bag idea better still...but that case would be good for the valet. The casinos are good to me and always put the M2 up front. I might tip pretty good for that..

I had a m340i loaner that had this key. I was kind of upset that a true M car, like our has a crappy key fob compared to it, I even asked, jokingly, the service manager... of course he didn’t know
