I wanted to share these with you guys. These are my best foto's so far. It's been raining all day. So She finally gets the seats she diserves. Donor seats are from a M4 comp BMW testvehicle. (M4 prototype euromodel) Electric and heated. Upholstered in matching black Dakota, alcantara and polar blue stichting. Took some inspiration from the M3/M4 CS models, alcantara on the inside of the side bolsters. Here you go!

Thank you! No coding, airbags were pre installed in the M4 seats, i used my original F87 M2 seatbelt tentioners, and also the original F87 M2 electric modules, that's the grey box underneath the seat. This was a plug and play job. Very easy and quick. Some people that do a seat swap also use original airbags. All F serie airbags are the same model. But my airbags were pre installed. It's an easy job to do it yourself, but i did not want to bother. I took out my F87 airbags to exchange with the donorseats provider. Independent BMW specialist from Holland.

Thanks! The seats are slightly less comfortable than the original ones, but much more supportive for spirited driving. I actually had the chance to sit in these and Recaro sportster CS back to back, and to my surprise they feel very similar.

Isn't it always that way? After 9 years of ownership, I finally got the carbon fiber Cup seats I wanted for my Exige, and they are terribly uncomfortable, but damn they're pretty.

Seems like a lot of trouble to put in some pretty mediocre seats with no support for harnesses. I would have just gone with the euro GTS seats or Recaros.

Well, I guess if you're looking for a track oriented seat, you could call these mediocre. However I think they look great and they suit my needs very well. I considered Recaro's, both sportster CS and pole position but they were well over a grand more expensive. And passing vehicle inspection with those in my country is virtually impossible. I don't track my car, so having the benefits of electric functions and heated seats are more appealing to me. I have to admit a RECARO pole position upholstered in matching materials definitely looks very good.

Agreed, it's a shame original M2 owners were denied the seats like M2 comp. If it had come like that, I would never have bothered swapping. Although I don't mind the Dakota, it needed something else. So I went for the alcantara on the inside of the sidebolsters. Which i copied from M3/M4 CS models. The entire seat in Dakota would not have looked as nice.
