Well to be fair, if history repeats itself it would February 2020 as the 2020 model came out in February 2021, but the official 2021 SOP is going to be 07/20, so you are right.

Also, OP if you searched 2021 M2 on this forum the first 5 results all say the same thing....

Why is the SOP on these cars after the cars are actually built?
OP, i got my 2020 in April of 2019 so you wont have to wait that much longer.

You wont see any massive tech changes until the G chassis switchover.
That's still a bit away.

Sorry I meant that this last year the SOP for the 2020 models was 2/19. However next year it seems as the SOP for the 2021 models won't be until 7/20.

Bizarre right? You would think they want to build these things and get them out the door ASAP, especially if this is the last model year.
I'm still hopeful for the G80.

July is the normal plant model year change over for the 2 series. Of course there have been exceptions.

Granted, but the not the M2 Competition this past year, that was my point.

Why do people like HUD? Every car I've ever driven with it I found extremely annoying. Like having something stuck in your eye lol.

Because fighter pilot.

I wish it had one, but I understand why it doesn't. This little car is so bad ass. Why get an M4 if this thing is better and cheaper? Oh, that's right, because the M4 has a HUD.

You get used to seeing it. Those of us who like them, like them for a variety of reasons, but the most common reason is that you don't have to take your eyes off the road as much. I have short-distance vision issues, and the HUD makes the information it presents clear without glasses, so it's an added benefit for me.

Cruising down the highway and you want to scroll through an album? Shows up in the HUD, so no need to look down or to the right. Modern sound insulation and a stock exhaust making it hard to hear and feel shift points? The Tachometer is in your line of vision rather than downwards (on some cars that have the Tach in the HUD). After a while with them, you don't notice it as much and the information in it gets absorbed very automatically by your brain.

Stuff like that. I had the HUD in my 340 for a few years, and then lost it when I switched to my M2C 15 months ago. I still miss it.

Edit - also, i second the "because fighter pilot" answer. :-)

Hey man, some of us can't see without sticking stuff in our eyes.

I agree. I have HUD on the RS5 and I find it useless, I always keep it off.
