Started my car up today and it sounded odd, a little choppy. Then I got a notification saying drivetrain malfunction, drive moderately. Anyways about 5 minutes later I made a quick stop and got back in the car and I didn't have the warning come up. Any ideas what it was? Should I still take it in? By the way it's been about -25 for 3 weeks here not sure Is this would do anything

I had the same thing happen the first drive I got my car back from the dealership getting bodywork repairs. I went back to the dealership ASAP and told them, they said I had to setup an appt on Monday because the guy that does that is out until then. So I leave, go back to my car, started it up, and the error was gone. Never to return.

Ah, mine never had a engine light on. It had the yellow exclamation triangle in the dash and the drivetrain malfunction warning on the idrive screen and went into limp mode. Maybe the event triggered a check engine light and that is remaining on. I would get the code read and cleared and see if it pops up again. If it does, then worry about it and diagnose further.
