When will my new M2 be here? U.S.

Alright guys, it feels like I've been waiting for decades for this car. Finally, it's been officially revealed. Now, the actual important question; when will I be able to drive mine here in the U.S.? Any news on that?

I understand the process, but man, it feels like this car is just always 5 months away from me.

That's what I'm hoping for, but I haven't seen any confirmation regarding when the first customer cars arrive at the dealers for the US

The most important question you should be asking is not when you will get the car but when will dealers receive allocations.

US allocations have to wait until the demand has settled in Europe, especially for you Adem1534!

I am number 4 at my dealer. I called today and I think the reality is we really have no idea what the pace of production will be on these cars which of course drives the allocation. I would guess anyone at the top of the list is in pretty good shape for a car late spring early summer but who knows. What I do know is BMW executives openly talked about this car being a new segment for them, they stressed the importance of the car and the U.S. was by far the biggest market for BMW so I would say all of that is good news for those who want an M2. I have settled into the probability I am looking at the fall before I get a car, if it comes sooner that I will be really excited. I was told by the GM today that he thinks it will be another month before they start to get allocation information.

Most people on allocation lists fall off anyway for one reason or another... It is just what happens.

Just get on a few lists, IF you really want the car. Who ever gives you the best deal, sells a car. Next !

I'm waiting to hear back from my sales advisor. I already have an order in for an M235i and I am thinking of changing it to an M2 as my car is not in production yet. Do you think they will let me cut the line???

If call around a few dealers. Have a friend that wanted a TT when it was originally launched, dealers were just getting the cars in. Wait list was horrendous, like 18+ mos where he was in Cali. Long story short he found someone local who sold him their dealer car bc the thing was selling so well they didn't need one to show folks. You may get lucky especially if you call around to less traveled dealers.

I'd cancel it. I don't think that he will let you cut either. But 235s are going to get super cheap here quick. If u are able to get a m2 that's awesome but worst u can get a used 235 for way less then I'm sure ur order is for.

Did they find out the US allocation info? I'm first at mine as well but they don't know when and how many they're getting.

I don't know why BMW is being so coy about allocations. Is this normal for a new model? It almost seems that they are trying to determine what the demand is before they release the allocation numbers. I suppose it contributes to the "buzz" about the vehicle.

The longer the unknown, the higher the odds that some people become impatient and jump to a an M3/4.

I am in same boat, #4 on list at the dealership and was told today similar things regarding the delivery timeframe being fall. Just FYI.
