Performance question

Hello everybody,

I have a question; I own a 2018 M2 Competition. According to a printout of a dyno run(done by the previous owner) my car makes 430Hp and 635Nm, with regards to the torque this is an increase of 85Nm.
As far as I know the only modification my car has is an IPE exhaust. What do you guys think, is an 80Nm increase in torque achievable with only an aftermarket exhaust or do I maybe have other modifications I don’t know about?

Seems like your car is tuned. An exhaust isn't going to get you 25 hp and 60 pounds of torque increase. Are you the original owner? Maybe the dyno calibration is very different.

its either tuned or the dyno reads very high

if you cannot find a piggyback connected to your boost sensors, check with Bootmod3 and MHD if they have your VIN on file

Thanks for the responses.

I assumed that if the car was tuned my horsepower would be higher because 20Hp over the standard 410Hp isn't that much and for example for MHD I see numbers over 500Hp with stage 1, maybe it is the dyno indeed as you guys both mention.

It would be nice to know everything about your car and what the previous owner did to it, but unfortunately that is not the case.

Clarity please.

Do you own a 2018 M2?

or a 2019-2021 M2 Comp?

If its a 2018 the the OEM HP is 365.

If its a Comp its 405.

Those are both estimated flywheel #'s.

The dyno sheet you have is HP measured at the wheels.

Looks like OP is in Europe. I thought some of the Euro markets got M2C in 2018 as a 2018 model year car?

Also, many dynos in Europe will give you the engine number first.

I think this dyno simply reads higher by a little bit. Which is not unheard of, since the factory rating is conservative.

I own an 2018 M2 Comp with the S55 engine. I indeed live in Europe, in Holland to be exact.
Some people in this thread are talking about 405 horsepower, apperently there are even more differences between Europe and America than I already knew, because we use the metric equivalent of horsepower.
One PS is equal to about 0.9863 of one horsepower, from factory the M2 Comp comes with 410ps which is 405hp in America, the dyno sheet reads 430ps which is 424hp.

A 14 hp increase doesn’t sound like a tune. Most dynos read more than BMW factory numbers so it’s likely stock numbers slightly inflated. If it’s a tune, it’s a bad one .
