Congrats on winning the gamble!

The G87 M2 will no doubt be a great performing car -- I'm a little disappointed they are offering a carbon roof on it, but the f87 CS still has a special roof.

My CS had a little booboo I ultimately couldn't live with forever so it was the reason I sold, but I did feel like one of the lucky bunch that got it for MSRP.

The G87 in comparison look wise.. is just miles below the f87 CS.

For those who got it early or got in late.. congrats, I think the g87 release will really set the legend of the f87 in stone. It's not a terrible looking car but its a step back.

It is also absolutely ABSURD that the leaked china bumper for a year ago was bang on.. what a joke lol

Why would you be "disappointed" that they're gonna offer a CF roof?

I got mine for 85k on a 90k msrp. Not once did I blink on the day I signed the dotted line, that one day, I would be part of a bmw enthusiast group gambling freaks and that the m2 cs will be regarded as one of the best looking BMW has to offer.

F87 M2 CS CF roof is so unique , G87 CF roof can't compare with it 😁

No other BMW CF roof can compared to the F87, that 4x4 weave is just so unique. I love it

Surprisingly, at least to me, the F87 M2 CS (stock config - manual w/ steel brakes) also weighs in considerably less than the G82 M4 CSL at 1608kg vs 1651kg.

M2 fitted with CCBs saves another 19.4kg

Another win for the F87 since the next gen will also be heavier!

I got in late while the car was on the boat, one of the last ones built. Had it shipped to PCD and picked it up there. Never doubted my decision. Every now and then I was toying with the idea to flip it while there was some money to be made, but I ended up not doing so. Misano with gold was just too unique for me to give it up - and it is a manual!

The CSL automatic is not for me. I'd take one, but I wouldn't spend 992 GTS money for it.

The G87 is not a beauty based on what I've seen so far.

I think the F87 will go down as a classic and last of its kind. It will never bring 993 Turbo money, but it will hold its own. More importantly it will put a smile on my face rowing the gears for many years to come.

In that regard, it was never a gamble. I found out about it fairly late as a BMW enthusiast, and was lucky to pick one up the day I called my dealer at MSRP.
