Mine doesn't hang that low. I would call it flush ish actually

I took another pic from the side angle but it didn't turn out that well. All I could see is plastic anyhow no mid pipe hanging.

I plan on jumping some gators (curbs) at VIR this weekend so I'll let you know

Thanks for letting me know, I guess my initial thoughts of there being a misalignment may have just been confirmed. I will get mine into the garage next week and see if there are any adjustments than can be made before I ask for a replacement

Mine does not hang low either. Maybe recheck install.

ptgltw Ive got my hands on Evolution link pipe + slip on axle back. Install scheduled for tomorrow, did you have to do any coding to avoid lights on dash? Outside of the system and sound kit, anything else performed?

No coding for the exhaust.

For my track prep we just coded for the CF buckets / airbag light.

We decided to leave the seatbelt light on when using the 6 point harnesses.

Good luck and congrats!

Appreciate the assistance everyone. Installed, no issues at all outside some new exhaust gaskets. Initial short review, immediately deeper tone, quiet with flaps closed, link pipe is the key, WOT on sport and + is glorious.
This is how the car should come delivered.

I knew I would like an upgraded exhaust, but I never expected the level of daily happiness it brings me. It's well worth the cost. It never gets old.

I'm with you on this. It fixed the main thing on the car I didn't think was outstanding out of the gate.

Beutiful. My shop said the same thing. Not in every case do you get what you pay for but in this case you. It's a masterpiece.

I've gotten Akra on nearly all my cars and bikes. The shorty on my S1000R is crazy loud.

I have both mid pipe and rear box, and I have to say that on sport at WOT it sounds amazing as it climbs through the rev range, but at idle with the valves open it sounds like something is broken!

Love it to bits though.

Did you check all connections? Mine sounds deep and no squeaks

It's very quiet unless valves are opened manually. The system functions in Auto (BMW program) or open. The auto logic is very quiet, but you'll appreciate it on the highway. If your fob turns red and you don't notice a substantial change, then I'd say the sound control kit isn't working.

The valves are working, that's why I said at idle with the valves open it sounds crap, it just sounds rough, unlike the 1m for example, it has the DP cats and a superprint straight pipe to stock back box and it sounds awesome at all rev range.

So, to clarify; The Akra sounds amazing once you get going but I don't think with the valves open at idle it sounds good, when the valves open around 2.5k on Wot it's an amazing sound one of the best I've heard

I was dead set on remaining in the "keep it stock" crowd - this is the first car I have ever had that I didn't start tearing up immediately, but coming up on 2-years of ownership, this thread has me thinking the Akra would make a proper two-year "anniversary" present

My e92 M has been the toy that I tinker with for so long, I think it's about time the M2 gets some proper aftermarket love. Really wish I could hear one in person before committing though :

I resisted for a while because I had trouble justifying something that doesn't really impact performance. I wish I had done it sooner. It brings me much joy. Treat yoself
