Saw the video before too. I was just curious if those above that just changed their springs are now experiencing it too? And those that just did the upgrades, did you replace the bolts? I'm not sure if my bolts were replaced as the car came with it but some say even replacing it and moving that bracket the sound persists.

There are quite a few bolts that are one use only when it comes to the suspension and brakes. I suppose you could cheap out and some folks probably do and reuse them.

Yeah they shouldn't because it's stretch bolts. I'm gonna at least replace and do what TLG said, except the lubricant. That doesn't make sense to me why you would need it as from factory doesn't need it.

Wouldn’t recommend any of these with a CS. All F8x are already on the bump stops all the time. This will only make it worse. BMW set that ride height for a reason. If you must go lower then do it right with coilovers.

I'm fairly certain a 2cm drop will not have a material impact on my suspension. If it does slightly shorten the life of my suspension components by a few thousand miles, it's worth it. 1 series and 2 series have always sat a little too high and it is exaggerated by the short stubby profile of the car. My F80 had nearly the same amount of wheel gap in the front, but looked okay due to its larger proportions. |

I don't mean when driving the car btw. I mean when you're in a parking lot and you turn the wheel from left to right and vice versa does it click at all from the wheel well? Put the windows down and turn off music, etc and double check. If not then that's great. Did you by chance replace the bolts when you had the springs installed?

You can definitely see thread stretch on the bolts. My kit didn't come with new hardware, so when I get my alignment I'm going to have BMW put in new hardware. I tried to find a bolt kit online and didn't find anything but individual parts and at that point I'll just have the dealer do it.

I'll add my review for the H&R after a week of settlement and adjustment.
At first, I thought there was a bit more vibration and road noise and creaking due to the lack of the top bushing in the rear. Now that it's settled in, I've been pushing it on some very hilly, twisty back roads. Off camber corners, hill crests with turns etc, and I gotta say, the suspension is still 100% on point. Completely compliant on all the small and big bumps, under braking, acceleration and coasting. Some stomach dropping crests, stuck to the road. The feeling is close enough to the original that I can no longer even tell if there is a difference. Noise and vibration feel the same now. Whatever few creeks I had settled down. I have even done a rear seat delete with open access to the trunk and the rear suspension is pretty much silent. I'm going to stick with these at least for a while or indefinitely unless I find I need something more on track.

Yes, but only on the rear so far. Future Classic 10mm hub centric in the rear as on now. Wanted to do 8mm in the front, but hard to find hub centric with bolts in that size, so will probably do 10mm in the front as well.

Eibach Springs here. Fast / capable on track and great on street. A little lower so pleasing on the eye also.
Can't lose with lowering springs despite what the early nah sayers said Sorry I went there again.

I don't think I'll be able to hold out for too much longer on the Eibach springs. I'll have to get used to backing into the driveway and being a bit more careful around town. Might be a 2023 project.
