I can confirm Apple Car Play is now full screen, not having it in my last one I probably won't use it anyway. Now for PPF and Ceramic so I will lose it for the next 3-4 days.
Funny, first thing my wife said was to paint the muffler...LOL.
You'll forget about that giant nut sack in the rear after a bit. I'd leave it, or polish the crap out of it to make it a feature piece!
Getting ppf and ceramic so soon after taking delivery is painful, but a few days isn't so bad. Congrats.

Good luck
Just dropped mine off for PPF and ceramic.
Very different drive to the OG much more linear and smooth will get a better feel after 2000 km service.
Obviously these cars are built for German roads as I am not allowed to exceed 150kmh for first 2000 km😂

OG feels more raw and lively than the comp - one isnt better than the other IMO they are just different.

I agree, just different…I must say I loved the way the OG performed and drove.
One big difference is the sound…the Comp is very soft compared to that N55.
Just need more seat time in the Comp to start enjoying it…it was more than 4 years in the OG and over 92,000 km

I have only done about 300Km so far but I can't believe how different the engine and drive feels compared to the OG. More linear and composed.
The sounds is Meh!! compared to the OG.
Looking forward to the 2,000KM break in service to explore a little more of the power band.

at the risk of being unpopular , OG is a very very good street car, in most respects i prefer it to M2C. M2C definately more capable and better for track.

I agree.
I actually miss it… not sure why but the OG seems more responsive on the road.

I quite liked the sound of the C with the valves unplugged whilst in Sport Plus (then gaffer taped over the connectors and back into their original positions). Downchanges sounded more aggressive and the sound was perfect for a daily driver. Worth a try for a free sound boost.

equal length midpipe does work wonders on the M2C but not cheap and hard to get at the moment. Valves open is a little better but the sound is just not there compared to N55 without any modifications.

The S55 is a beast of an engine, just a shame sound is not its forte.
The S58 in the new G80 M3 sounds a lot better than S55 also

She arrived today. Probably one of the last M2C Manual to be delivered in Oz.

Nice
I can't believe how different the comp drives to the OG.
Still playing with the various settings which obviously the OG did not have and I just always drove it in Sport and manual change.

Totally agree... also went for a OG DCT to a Comp 6MT, and definitely improved driving experience in my opinion in many ways..

I never drove the OG and the M2 is my first non-MINI BMW. I am loving it. I love the way it growls when I start it.

Just had a 2,000km service... the dealer said wait till you drive it.
He said they do "open it up" I must say it feels like another step up in power compared to previous 2,000 and the OG, which I absolutely loved driving.
The power delivery between the two is so different, it might take me a while but the full on power of the S55 is more frightening to me than the OG.

I am sure I will run out of talent long before the car does!!

I have read so many different threads on the so called " open her up " after the 2k km service. Lol.

I honestly felt no difference after this, it's just that you can surpass the 4-5k rpm rev range limit, that makes it feel different.

My service manager told me the same thing after the service as yours.
Spoke with my nephew who is a BMW tech in QLD and he told me that nothing is " tweaked or opened up " during the 2k KM service.

Who knows mate.
The main thing is that we are all enjoying these awesome cars in our own ways.
Drive within your limits and stay safe. Cheers.

I think you are probably right...the car is awesome either way and just different to the OG I had for more than 4 years...I like both.
Shame we live in Australia with our draconian traffic laws.
