i had my car for one month
it is one of these things that you will not notice if you did not hear about it but once a week I am driving and say to myself is the seat positioned right or not ? but overall , it is a no issue. The car is great |

i sat in 240i, before watching a video about m2 seat being slightly off, found it alright, everything was fine, then after watching a video about m2 seats, decided to check my e90 m3 seat position and noticed it also was slightly pointing to a left headlight... so my point is, you will be fine, just get over it.

I do not know if M2 is the only in 2-series based that has this seat problem. I once did have test drove (using my friend's) and did indeed notice the seating position is weird. I should say that it is weird how I lined up with 3 peddals compared to "normal" once that I drove before... My friend had no idea and thought i am the weird one who feels the way difference when everyone else has no issue with the seat. And then I came home and search online and found that it is actually crooked... But I really love the car and the fact that the crooked seat did not bother me one second to release the order, but just curisou if they fixed it in LCI.. |

I was told that it is because of DCT size and safety regulation.
Since M2 is based on 2 series chasis, bigger sized DCT did actually made the seat to moved to the left (considering that your driver seat is on the left size). However, they also have to consider the distance from the door panel to the driver's seat and due to the safety test issues and BMW ended up pushing the front portion of the seat to be tilted to right (passenger) side... Making the seat position crooked by slight degrees. |

You can't even notice it. I've had my car almost a year now and I wouldn't have any idea the seat was a few degrees off had I not seen it mentioned on the forum a billion times. It's just a part of the F87 chassis and will remain that way because of the money and time it would take to redesign it. They're not gonna change it. End of story. Maybe I am the only one who wishes it was crooked just a little more. It is a non issue. You can't even see it.

It never occurs to me that the seat is crooked once I get in the car. Just like the dim gauges on pre-LCI.

I've had the car for 3 months and have no clue what this crooked seat nonsense is all about. I don't notice a thing.
