M2C is very quiet with ASD disabled and in comfort mode. I actually have the flaps unplugged entirely and still find it almost too quiet (except for the stupid burble overrun crap that I will be tuning out next).

As for usability I folded the seats down and slept in it a few times during ED in the alps. I also have made several long trips here in the US and find that any chance I get I tend to hop off the highway and take the old routes instead...

I foresee 200k+ miles in this cars not too distant future.

Loved my GT4 and as a DD it is totally capable. I have since moved onto a 991.2 GT3 and find it even more comfortable and I have the buckets in this one. Had the 2way sofas in the GT4. I am a slim guy though. Curveball.......AMG GTS second hand? I bought one for the wife and I love it. More engaging than just about every M car and faster. Also the interior is lovely. Just don't buy it new unless you like losing money. Oh and the trunk area is pretty large.

You probably will. I get more enjoyment out of my CS than my GT4. And also, the CS walks the GT4 on track (at altitude). I did a back to back drive on a TD a couple weekends ago.

This is exactly what I'm hoping to get out of the car! Plan to drive as much as I can during ED (staying for a month), and will likely drive out from Toronto to LA some time in early 2020

That's one thing that's so great about the car. There's literally nothing I desire to buy for it or put on the car. With the M2C it's great, but there are some many aftermarket/M Performance parts that make it look that much better.

Relies on a cheater tire, has a water tank you have to fill or power falls off like a rock on track. No manual option, and doesn’t sound very good.

I’d have the M2C over the floridly overpriced 2RS any day.

Do the rear seats fold down in the ROW? In the US, mine don't.

Are you sure they don't fold down? In like 99% positive all 2 series and M2 rear seats fold down. The release is in the trunk.

Love how there are a few people on this thread with both and M2 and GT4. They both have their place. I can daily drive the M2 as well as track it. The GT4 I drive on nice days as well as track it.

I'm on the fence on trading my M2 for M2 comp. I'm sure the comp is great but I don't see a compelling reason to change other than the fact that my M2 warranty expires in 11 months. The M2 and the M2 comp have pros and cons and the net for me is no incentive to jump.

Thanks for posting. Good comments in the video.
I’m also happy to see so many people here with both the M2 and GT4. Really excited to get the M2C as a daily.

I still don’t understand how the AMG finished so low. I love BMW but I’d think it would be not only faster (which it is) but also more fun to drive.

Oh, and ASD must die. I have tinnitus and the ASD would literally give me headaches and intensify the symptoms over drives any longer than 30 min. I also recommend an exhaust flap controller, that way you can have your Sport+ throttle and the valves closed for murdering cars on the highway.

I agree in a way regarding the AMG, but at the end of the day they didn't use the most performance oriented model for the test, and the AMG is a very specific type of car for a very specific scenario, maybe they just didn't get the emotions out of it like they were expecting?

So jealous of all the GT4 owners. It was the same story for the GT4 as the 1M - didn't get a chance to own either of them when they were new.

The 135 (during the 1M timeframe) and 981 CS (instead of the GT4) were nice alternatives, but I am hoping to have a chance at the 718 GT4 at some point. Even if it is used.
