In for this too. I think rears would work in front with 10-15mm spacer? Not sure if camber would be needed then and if so, no issue with camber plates and EDC?

From what I understand, Hoosier run quite wide for their size. Saw an E46 with 763M wheels in 19/10 with 235 Hoosiers and it fit well and had insane turn in. Fast wear though.

Wonder if the BMW spec Cup2 Connect would be a problem running the rears in front since they specify Rear and Front spec. Otherwise, no 265 option for Cup2 240 Treadwear.

I’m allready running the 10mm spacers so maybe I’ll swap the rears to front next time it’s on a lift and see. Even the good year sc 3r would be great with a 265 up front

Why would you need wider wheels to run a 265/35/19? Those will fit on the 9" wide fronts according to Goodyear's specs.

Just to keep everything equal front to back . Even though it fits the wheel won’t get full contact patch as 10” width

First of all you have to run a 20mm difference/balance front to rear to maintain the balance of the car for handling .
What your suggesting will ruin the balance (turn-in) and overall handling of the Cs.

The existing current front cs rims will take 265 tyres and and theirs no contact patch increase by changing the front rims to the same as the back .

IÂ’m running the BMW factory delivered/optioned Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres .

IÂ’m now going 285 rear and 265 front with Pilot Sport Cup 2 Tyres on my existing Cs Rims .

Also what brand of tyres are you running ?

There is an extensive thread detailing how and why BMW setup the Cs and what options you can do with tyre width/stagger (so that you maintain optimum handling) .

Hope that helps in your decision making process .

The 20mm difference only comes into play for a staggered setup. Discussion is specific to a square setup.

Understood the wheel will take a 265 but the available contact patch is reduced as a result of a 9" wheel vs a 10" wheel.

Currently running stock setup with Cup2 Star Spec 240TW. For track, would prefer a square setup.

This has been hashed out a lot on the M2C (identical to CS in most respects including this one -- inner fender liner). The problem isn't width of the tire at 265 but the diameter if you're trying to run a 265/35-19. The tread face will rub on the fender liner toward the front during turning/action. Some have "massaged" the liner with a heat gun, etc, in attempts to gain clearance.

At the pro level, national autocross guys have run 275/30-19 tires all around on the 9/10 wheels without issue (have to maintain stock wheel widths per SCCA rules).

Did anyone ever try running the back wheels on the front yet?
