BM3 or JB4?

Always used JB4 in the past, n54 335i, Mini JCW, M135i. Going to start tuning the M2. Benefits of the BM3 over the JB4?

Both are excellent options; bm3 is a flash tune with control over the entire DME tables. The jb4 is a piggyback which tricks the system to make more boost.

If both are an option, most customers pick bootmod3.

Glad you did. In general I always got a smoother more put together feeling with a full flash like BM3 than with JB4.

As Mike mentioned, JB4 is tricking the car into making more power vs remapping as a whole.

Also, worth noting, Jay, before sometimes felt faster to me, but it’s because it was a smooth not because it was actually faster. Just some food for thought.
