I'm looking to gauge interest in this carbon piece that is no longer offered by FaserSchmiede. I don't even know if it's do-able but I wanted to give it a shot anyway. Poll is purely to gauge interest, no commitment to buy or anything. I figured if there's enough momentum the manufacturer may consider putting it into production.

Just emailed them the link to this thread. Was hoping to get a little more time and see 20 votes for interest but I think it's good enough. I'll report back with any response, they're pretty good about it!

So I did get a response this morning:

First of all thank you VERY VERY much for your email !! I have discussed this with my employer and he doubts whether the market is large enough for this in relation to the very high mold-costs.

He prefers to reserve the financial budgets for the new 1 Series and later the new M2. There will now be 1 Alcantara product for the current generation 1 and 2 Series and then we will close this era.

Very understandable. I'm out of ideas unless you folks have a vendor you'd like to show this thread to.
