I installed it. It's a nice little touch -- a bit overpriced I thought. |

Linked pic is a great one. I've got it on my car and really like it. It's something you see every time you drive and it plays well with the other carbon bits inside the car.

My pic - not great - flash is a bit strong - it's nowhere near that shiny
I think the post above is what convinced me to get it. Install is pretty easy, once you figure out the airbag clips. |

Man, it looks good in person, but I don't want to go down that road, 'cause then I'd have to do it all.

It did feel a bit like disarming a bomb. The reality I'm sure is it's completely safe once you disconnect the battery. It's also crazy expensive now that Sun Motors doesn't do special pricing anymore.

Probably a safe assumption. I can't really imagine how the inflator could self-detonate in the absence of electricity and disconnected from the crash sensors

Is the M Performance decal removable? Or is there an indent in the carbon that the sticker sits into?
I don't like the logo, but am afraid I'll be left with a ugly blank indent if I remove it. |

I don't love it either (prefer the small M on the stock trim). I just checked, the sticker definitely rises above the carbon fiber, but I was unable to determine if there was an indent. And I didn't dare attempt to peel it up for the same reason you cite!

For some reason I really like the matte trim piece due to the new logo, hmm
