They did however mess mine up completely and it went into limp mode on the way home, and had to be nursed back. I use a different dealership now...
Same here. Car lost power and threw check engine light on way home from 30k service…. Was towed back to dealer by a tail dragger sent by BMW. Cost me several cab rides and not even a simple apology for the inconvenience. I will be using a different dealer for any remaining warranty work

Agreed, even if they are "TTY", they absolutely were not torqued to the yield point of that fastener in my car - I removed them with a 1/4" drive ratchet.

They don't need to be particularly tight. The fastener tightness in this case doesn't have anything to do with the behavior of the brace, which really only has the ends "pinned" in place from a functional standpoint. Unlike, say, a head bolt, where the clamping force is paramount, as long as the brace can't "squirm around", there's plenty of clamp.

I recently went in for a brake fluid flush. My service warranty is expiring in May, as that will be 3 years on my '21 M2C. My service advisor said he would do the next "big" service that is slated to pop up after my service warranty expires. It included cabin filters, oil change, and spark plugs. I have 13,9xx miles on my M2C, and it was well before they needed all of it, but I figured why not since it's free so they took care of it. Definitely did not need new ones, but free is free and I appreciated my service advisor taking care of this for me while still under the service warranty. They also replaced my wiper blades for free. This was Fields BMW in Winter Park, FL.

That should be standard practice by BMW service. Mine was done under maintenance at the third oil change (in my case at three years).

Just took my ‘21 M2C to BMW Seattle for my last service before the 3year maintenance is up @ 21.3k mi here’s what they covered:
Oil service
Replaced spark plugs
Updated telematics control unit (3G to 5G)
Replaced intake air filters
Flushed brake fluid
No car wash 😀

Had the car in at 7A and out by 1P, smooth sailing.

I didn’t think any M2 had 3g telematics.

My SA Alex told me they had to update/reprogram telematics as 3G will be deprecated for 5G.

Hmm. 3G networks were shut down in 2022. It may be that the changed your 4G to a 5G. https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/the-3g-...0limited%20way.

Same for me at BMW of Southpoint in Raleigh (minus the Telematics update). Service Advisor - "I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but do you want me to put that through the wash machine?" "NO, I'll pass." "Yep, already knew the answer."

No idea and honestly not worried either way if he misspoke about 3G.

Try pushing your help button (overhead) and see if it works. If not, then you need reprogramming.

^^ This was the issue addressed. An issue with calls not going out over VoLTE. The hardware supports it, but firmware has a bug.
