Looks like a rally car now, lol
Stock suspension. Ohlins R&T and Vorschlag Camber Plates in its future.

I want to see how the car responds on the track. Hopefully, I don't destroy the outside edges.

Excellent - goodbye shoulders, lol. I started to shred my PS4S shoulders after just one weekend on the stock camber. The BMW Star PSS tire has a more heat-tolerant compound on the shoulder. You might be okay with the RE-71RS, though. Let us know!

If you’re tracking hard especially in hot temps get your camber plates on asap. 4 track days at 110-115 degree days and I corded the shoulders. The tire guy was impressed, first 71rs he’d seen worn that far.

No plans on waiting till the summer. Next weekend is looking to be high 50s low 60s. Splitting duty with my wife. She has a coach and isn’t pushing as hard yet.

I want to do the camber plates with the Ohlins. Probably next month though now I find myself spending money on 2 cars for the track. Ouch.

Very interested in how this works for you. Having the same thoughts on wanting to delay the camber plates for a bit and seeing how the tires hold up on the stock suspension.

Also curious on how well the 10" wheels are working with a 275 in the front from a rubbing perspective. Even with stock suspension and ride height, I was thinking 10"/275 was pushing it. I was planning on 10"/265 to give myself just a bit more clearance. Also planning on using Kumho V730 as they are run a bit narrower (and are really cheap).

I've driven it fairly hard around and tested in some bumpy conditions and no rubbing. Inside clearance at the liner is tight but good. Plenty of suspension clearance.

APEX has this combo listed but says -3 deg of camber. Once I do the suspension I'll probably run 3 to 3.5 deg of camber.

It will rub slightly on the front liner towards the front. I run the exact same wheel specs but with Yokohama A052 265/35/18 with stock suspension but -2,7 degrees of camber.

You should really get camber plates if you are above beginner pace - no joke I've seen multiple sets of *new* PS4S, Cup 2s, and 200tw tires have their outer edge significantly worn to outright shredded after one day on track by decent pace drivers on F8X (0,2, & 7)

Yep I want to do the Ohlins at the same time.
Looks like car has -1.55 deg

On my G87 my PS4Ss got pretty beat up after 2 events.

No spacers in front I have the 18x10ET25
So you will need a bit or you will hit the strut.

In the back probably will need 12mm to make it flush.

Oh I see, you did the +25 for the front. I did 18x10 +40 square. So a 15mm spacer will get me to +25. Glad to see it fit!

Right now stock height w -1.5 degrees looks like it pokes too much to me. once lowered and with -3 I think it will be right.

I’m glad I went 275s vs 265s.

Good news is the RE71 RS are rotational not outside. So I can swap rubber after the weekend and get fresh edges 🤣

-1.5 is the stock amount, it's a shame camber wasn't adjustable for F chassis cars (and still isn't on G cars). Just my opinion - wouldn't wait for Ohlins if those aren't coming in the very near future. If they are, then great do it all at once.

Just a heads up, REs aren't recomended to be flipped - see 6:50 in the video below.

Total time on track about 100min at Road Atlanta. My wife and I were splitting time. Here 2nd track day and my first time in this track.

Btw not a direct comparison but I like these RE-71RS’s a lot more than my RT-660’s on my G87.

Works well cold and up to about 170deg. Predictable at limits. Seems pretty durable.

Here are pics after two session. Continued to lower pressure throughout the day to shoot for 34 front 33 rear.

I’ll post pics after our day at AMP as well.

Quick edit. Slight rubbing on left fender. Most noticeable in turn 12.

My 71rs looked worst after 1 track day and I have camber plates set to about 2.6 degrees. As you get more comfortable with the car and/or track the wear will start to be way more apparent quickly without a decent amount of camber

Yeah, those look pretty good. You didn't wear through the shallow V on the outer edge. I got some where on the outside running -3.2.

I did have pretty even tire temps across the face. With infrared not probe. I'll need to up my tire temp measurement game at some point.

Here are the pics after AMP. Definitely nocticeable wear. My wife is going to run it at Roebling Road next week but she isn’t too hard on it.

Then we will start doing suspension. Finishing up installing Ohlins R&T in the G87 this weekend. Nice quality and likely what we will do on the OG as well.
