Is it just me who prefers RIA, E88 and a lot of other BBS wheels to F1-R's ?
I want to love them but I just like them. I know they are super light and super cool from a materials point of view but aesthetically for me they could be a lot better like the race wheels |

J/K To each their own. Variety is the spice of life. I will say that, being a photographer, I'm unusually keen on the fact that wheels look vastly different in real life than they do in pictures...any pictures. No picture can capture 3d presence. A perfect example might be the 763M. I lusted over them (because of pictures) until I got a set, and the moment I put them on I was immediately stuck by a sense of meh. They are much better in pix than they are in real life. The 18" E88 is the same, but opposite. They don't look right on the car in pictures, to my eye, they look like a throwback on a new car (which they are). However, in real life they present very well, and fit the car fantastically. The FI-R is one of those in the middle I think. In real life the spokes, I call them rungs, are MASSIVE, and look crazy chunky, which you can't see in pictures. But it suits the flares/hips/chunky feel of the car fantastically (much better than the beautifully elegant KL11's I had before). So I'd say "like what you like", but before you make your final judgement, see them on the car in real life. |

I like the fi-r they look amazing in every car I have seen.
E88s are cool but you have to have a specific build. That said I think I might like the ri-d over the fi-r on the m2 but we are splitting hairs here. But totally fine not to love them, everyone is different. I am not into the m2cs front splitter because of the winglets but a ton of people love that, it is what it is |

Most BBS wheels look great on an M2. We are lucky to have such good choices.

I'd love to see them side by side in the exact same sizes to really get a feel for how the spokes are different. There is no way to really see it in pictures. I probably have more FI-R pictures on my computer (I'm a photographer so I collect photo's) than anyone, and upon seeing them in person was shocked at how they looked. 3D just can't be represented in 2D.

I just don't like that you lose 1/2 in as they are 19x9 and 19x10. This is my 3rd set of FI-R's I've owned/bought and they don't compare to anything else out there.
I considered R101LW but even those don't look that good on the F87 and I'm generally a big fan of HRE

to_riffic,
FI137 & 138 is what you have, correct? are are you running stock 245/265 or 255/275 or wider? If so, compare to stock wheels, the front 137 is 13mm more aggressive and the rear 138 is 11mm more aggressive. I personally already find that to be more aggressive than I like so can't imagine you have another 5mm in there. |

I have plates now and running -3 up front and -2.1 rear. So 5mm keeps the FI-R fronts flush and rears look the same as they are.

There you go. -3 up front is not the average guy set up for sure.

I've put 10k miles on my FI-R prior to -3 camber. So I was very average for a while...
