Best SA for BMW Irvine, Crevier or Long Beach

Hey Folks,

I've had some poor experiences in the past at other dealerships and looking to build a solid relationship at one of my newly local dealers. My wife is getting a new BMW soon and I want a solid SA that I can count on when I'm out of town and can't check things out myself. I've been to Crevier the most and they seem quite good but have heard Irvine is also quite good. Long Beach is closest but they don't give me a positive vibe to be honest.

Anyone have feedback or recommendations on the listed dealers or others that may be local? I will not consider Buena Park as they've already burned that bridge.

Edit: I didn't realize McKenna was close to me as well; I've actually never been to that dealership but apparently on the F80 groups a fella named Charlie Kim was highly recommended but recently moved on to Porsche. He recommended Claudia and Israel in his place who have a strong relationship with the techs at that dealership...apparently mod friendly which is a huge plus for me.

I frequent Irvine for service and new cars. My sales guy Mike Quinn is one of the best I've had and he'll take care of you. PM me if you want his info. As for SA's my favorite SA there is Jennifer but she's currently on maternity leave.

Richard Kim at Crevier also seems to come highly recommended from what I've seen.

Unsure; I went to see Claudia at McKenna for my running-in service but will likely be going back without secondary cats...possibly downpipes too. We'll see how long it takes me lol.

I went to McKenna earlier this month (I live in Irvine) , I had gone before but with Charlie. The f80 forums recommended Claudia so I set an appointment with her. When I got there she wasnt there, but Lina helped me out and I even told her about my sport cat. She advised since it was just a scheduled service they don't connect it to the computer or anything so the mods wouldn't matter.

Also there were 3 other bimmers in line that for sure were not stock. Leads me to believe they are still a good place to go for cars that are modded.

McKenna is the most mod friendly. While Richard is mod friendly, Crevier being a Penske dealer, and the shop foreman are incentivized by BMW to look for mods on every car.

If you have any powertrain mod McKenna is go to. For just cosmetic / chassis mods Richard at Crevier will take care of you.

I don't have too many experiences with Irvine.

Thanks for this. I took mine into Crevier for the last service, and just slapped a downpipe on couple months ago. Looks like I'll be going to McKenna here on out.

If you _just_ have a DP, you'll be fine at crevier. Anything else.. ehh..

For those still interested, Richard Kim's now at Irvine BMW. I'll be taking the car to Irvine for service in a couple weeks. Will update then.

Quoting myself here for the update: got the car back from Irvine for routine service - oil change + spark plugs. Didn't bat an eyelid regarding my downpipe. Eric Chu, my SA from Crevier moved to Irvine too apparently. He followed Richard over, so I'm working with him there. Got a chance to meet Richard, who's a service manager now. Both are pretty cool and recommended.

I'll be FBO (just short of a tune) by the time my next service hits, will update again then.

What most dealers don't have is a private flatbed tow fleet... If you're reasonably close I'll send a flatbed tow truck to get your vehicle and drop it off when it's done.

Charlie, would Long Beach be considered close enough?

Im in North OC and looking for a Service Advisor. My 2019 M2 Comp is 1 year old now and iDrive has been notifying my my annual service is up.

Im dreading going to the Dealer because I am OCD about my car. I dont want any car washes, NO Test drives, don't want any DME updates, etc. Dont want to leave the car for a long time also. I have done a oil change on the S55 myself before and it took me 20 minutes to do.

Any Service Advisor in Orange County or even LA that can help me out I would appreciate it!

When you say cosmetic mods at Crevier, means they are the best installer for those items?
