Haven't watched it yet.

Yes I know it's not a drag race car, all complaisants to Matt Watson and not me please.

Just a bit of fun.

Right now I'm watching.

EDIT: incase this makes no sense. This was originally a thread I shared but 1 minute later than the chap above. Then logically it was merged lol. Great show by the CS

The M2CS really pulled away in the rolling races! it wasn't even close even with the tuned RS3

Good ol S55 representing the BMWs well against the Audi and the Merc

It will be interesting to see the CS on a Dyno.

What did you think of the CS performance. Considering it's no dragster held its own really well.

That AWD 45S is a bit of a monster though.

I wonder how usable that top end acceleration is in the real world though. Most situations are not long straights to take advantage of that.

Hmm agreed, however I'd hazard a guess from 20mph would net similar results!

Carwow has a ton of awesome comparo vids featuring some epic rides. They just need to include trap speeds with their 1/4 runs.

It would have been nice if they threw in an M2 Comp in there as well to see the difference

I'm not up to date on any new M offerings, but please tell be the M2CS doesn't leave the factory on runflats.

I ask because I'm wondering why it lost the brake test while rocking carbon ceramic brakes.

Has any M ever come on RFT? Let me rephrase, has any M car ever come on RFT?

To the best of my knowledge, BMW has never equipped an M car with runflats.

CCB's are great for reducing or eliminating brake fade at the track, but I don't think they do much for overall stopping power... especially on the street since they may have a higher peak operating temperature.

Enjoy his vids for 5 minutes of mindless entertainment. He doesn't take himself too seriously and has a ton of cool cars.

I too would like to see the difference between M2C vs M2CS. Really need to be on the same tires to make it comparable though.

Another great video from CarWow with high entertainment value.

Drag races are fun to watch but produce very few practical insights for the majority of daily drivers.

2002 M3 had RF Michelins from
The factory if I recall correctly. I could be wrong of course. That was a long time ago.

Pointless comparison. You run the new M2 CS against an old RS3? Way slower than it should be with the tune but the current facelift model will run 11.9-12.0 on a good day stock. The M2 CS is an awesome car but at least make a comparison video that makes sense.
