What's the consensus on tinting rear taillights on the M2? Generally I think it makes the car look cheap but a slight tint that's not totally blacked out may look really good on a BSM...

Ceramic Pro'd BSM

I just got back my car after 5 days in the shop. Paint correction also completed. Car is smooth as silk.

Had the ceramic treatment inside and outside.

What difference does it make if it's a lease or not? You want the car looking good during your ownership, don't you? I would at least do the hood and bumper to prevent stone chips/road rash. You can peel it off when you turn the car in and it will look good as new.

Ya I'm so anal about the paint that I ppf'd a lease. Figure if I want to keep it after then it's a good investment, and if I decide to not keep it then the dealer can't charge me for paint problems. It's a win win... except for my wallet :

It was super nice. CCB, comp pack and an AWE exhaust. Owner was chill as well. I agree it's a big car but the F80 looks so darn good if I were to get an F8X it would deff be the 3er not the 4.

The main reason I did this was to try out how ceramic coating works. I heard it's easier to keep clean and eliminates swirl marks.

I traditionally did clay, polish and wax - but thought I'd try this out as an alternative.

Don't read too much into this - perhaps PPF would have been a good investment too.

Judging by the comments, it seems if I were to do ceramic, I should do PPF as well. Oh well - perhaps the next car.

I got Ceramic Pro - it was done in Thornhill at J Tough.

Sick pic! Lowered just right in my opinion. I actually used some of your photos as reference when I was deciding to go with the KW HAS for my incoming M2. You still happy with the feel of the ride? My M235 is lowered on Dinan springs so its pretty firm. I imagine this won't be much different. I went with 12mm spacers though. Seeing this pic I'm thinking maybe I should have went with 15's cause it looks perfect.

Thank you!

Yes, I'm very happy with the the ride. It's feels close to OEM which always shocks people (no pun intended). I think they expect the car to have some crazy firm suspension because of how aggressive the stance is. In my opinion the M2 is already insanely stiff out of the box so going even stiffer was not something I wanted and I was glad these didn't firm things up a lot.

In terms of spacers I had a 12/10 set up before the 15s because of how many people on the forum recommended it and said it was perfect but after installing them and seeing how they looked in person I was super disappointed and immediately sold them and moved up to the 15s. Now the wheels actually stick out to the fenders and I think it looks super mean

Just make sure once you get the springs and spacers on your new car you get an alignment done, and be careful not the lower the car too much initially because after a few weeks/months the springs will settle quite a bit. If I had to guess I'd say they fell like another half inch, so just don't go too low right away because you might end up rubbing a few months later.

Thanks for the advice! It does look mean, especially in BSM . Springs & spacers followed by alignment already scheduled for the day my car arrives. A half inch settle is considerable. Have you had to raise/lower yours at all since install? Are they pretty easy to adjust?

Unfortunately I'm unable to say how easy or difficult adjustment is since they haven't been touched since the install but I was considering getting under the car soon and raising the fronts up a mm or two since my front tires have started to occasionally rub against the fenders when hitting large dips or potholes. It's very minor sounding, super uncommon and there is no evidence of any tire damage or rubber being left in the fenders so I might not even address it at all unless it becomes more frequent or sounds like it's becoming worse. Like I said, leave yourself some room for the springs to settle, lol.

Either way it's not the end of the world if the car is too high or low after the springs fully drop and more than likely you will have to go back and make some minor adjustments a few months after the initial install. I'm just being stubborn/lazy with mine, haha.
