What engine oil is used for the M2CS

I recently went in for service at the BMW dealership for an oil change. In my receipt, I see that the engine oil they used was 10w60. I literally see no one else use this oil for s55 engine cars and was wondering if it is normal?

Not the right oil! Do not drive the car! That is way too thick for the S55. That's for the S54, etc.. Make them pay for a tow back and fix it.

You'll be wanting 0w40 or 5w40 oil in the S55. Too thick what you've got in there at the moment.

Good catch! What a bunch of wankers. And if they say we installed the right oil but wrote down the wrong one...not good enough. Change it anyway and give me a new receipt.

I do 5w-40.

BMW changed the viscosity on the S55 engine like 3 times.
