Is it actually an M2C cluster, or just an M2 LCI cluster?

Hardware is probably the same as LCI M2, just coding.

FYI, anyone looking to do this, make sure you have a shop that knows how to code the modules and updates the car to the newest software. if not done, your car will throw codes / malfunctions. my electronic power steering went out, time and date couldn't be set, and the TPMS couldn't be reset. all this was due to the coding, but I'm glad we fixed it

OG LCI cluster doesn't show "M2" near the top of the tach (my OG LCI has an M logo), has a different redline, and different font for the numbers. There's a hardware difference between the Comp cluster and the OG LCI cluster.

Ah, yep, you're right. Should have been obvious given that's the analog section.

Yeah that’s why I was asking
I assume the OP is okay with having a different redline on the cluster

yea I haven't forgot to shift at 7k RPMs, it definitely is a annoying but I got used to it really fast I mainly got the M2C one because it was cheaper for me to get and I like how it says "M2"

yes ! it'll just need some coding done. I had my power steering go out, make sure it's coded correctly so that doesn't happen lol

I just installed the cluster, still waiting on coding tomorrow morning, but so far everything lights up as it should. I purchased it brand new for 300 bucks shipped from an eBay store in Germany, I was skeptical that it might be fake or maybe heavily used. but it came in absolutely mint condition. in case anyone wanted to do the retrofit on a budget.

If you want OEM software updates do it all before cluster retrofit. It prevented my shop from applying updates as car was not happy that it had all original parts. Even though the cluster was coded in and working correctly.
Modern care! Tssk
