quick release steering wheel for m2?

Hey, I am wondering if anyone experienced installing a quick release steering wheel on the modern BMWs? I have been doing research and the only one I absolutely sure that works is the KMP drivetrain solution BMW FXX racing wheel. This doesn't help anything because, first it only has the DCT version while my m2c is manual, second it comes with its own adapter hub which doesn't prove other brands and models will work. Third, they don't sell the hub separately, and even they do, from the picture it looks different from a regular hub so it may not fit the quick release from other brands.

I am trying to use the NRG hub+quick release+MOMO steering wheel. I am not worrying about the quick release and wheel since they are universal, so I only need to get the hub working. Also if they do fit, is it possible to disable the wires so they don't nagging? and still able to switch back to the stock wheel.

Does anyone know any hub that works on the FXX cars?

Yes, it would be easier to just install a M performance wheel, but I like that raw/pure/simple feeling of the quick release wheel, and the idea it can be removed and put on. Yeah, I will lose the M1 M2 buttons, kinda too much price to pay, but I can live with it

How close are you sitting to the wheel?

Is this a track car? Do you have racing seats, roll cage, and harness?

A removable steering wheel means no front airbag, which sounds like a really bad idea unless it's a dedicated track car.

If it is, then im all for it, but it wasn't clear from your post.

Having smacked my face on a steering wheel because the airbag failed, I can vouch for this

I am planing to build a drifting car on this m2c, that's why I brought the manual. The racing seat and roll cage will be installed too. Right now I am just researching and see if those parts are compatible and the costs.

the hub+quick release+wheel will be pretty deep, so I image I will be putting the wheel as far as possible and I also have a clutch stop so my left leg will be able to push the clutch all the way.
