Proud NEW Owner- 2020 BMW M2 Competition
Hello All,
Just picked up my very first BMW coming from long line Infiniti. 2008 350 Nismo - 2011 G37S -2013 G37 IPL - 2018 Q50 Red Sport. The M2C was not my first choice and my original plan was to order the MY20 Z4 M40il. Then I started looking at and test drove a few 2020 M4. 6MT then DCT. I had the opportunity to pickup MY20 M4 Heritage in Blue. After I test drove 2 different M2C. Made my mind to get the M2C in Black sapphire metallic fully loaded. They had a white one with the M Drivers Package- but after researching what that was for $2500 I found the black one with 8 miles that had everything I wanted with sunroof. I'm very happy- it's such a beautiful car all round very addictive looking and perfect M car in my eyes. The car sitting in my garage waiting to go back to the dealer for a few add-On tomorrow. PPF- install for the front end XPEL FUSION PLUS Ceramic Coating Here are some quick pics- I did not let the dealer wash my car. So it's a little dirty. |

Congrats, great choice. I too wanted to consider a Z4 M40, but couldn't even get myself to steer in that direction. My heart was set on the M2 since I saw it.
You have some great driving roads out your way past Ashburn. You should hit the twisties to break her in. I'm sure I'll see you in NoVa some time |

I too came from the VQ world. First car I bought myself at 18 was an 03 G35. Kept it for a little over 5 years, and sold it shortly after getting the M2.
Welcome! What interior trim did you go with, carbon or piano black? What color stitching did you get? |

Mine had the DCT. I have owned 3 Manuel's in my past cars also test drove an 2020 M4 6MT. I know I know- but I'm old lol. I really liked the feeling of the DCT.

I was strongly considering a manual for the M2, going back to manual after 20 years. But I don't regret getting the DCT. It is a great transmission and I am shifting "manually" all the time anyway. I often wonder how I would feel if I have to use a third pedal all the time after all these years...
