I've got the Eventuri. Looks cool. Don't think it does much else.

Are the BMC's conical or are they just flat replacement filters? Where are these "charcoal liners" that you speak of, and how would one remove them? Sorry, I just got the car and haven't cracked open the filter boxes.

BMC are flat panel filters, you can see a DIY here: https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1014235

Thank you! That's an awesome write up.

I'd like to go w conical filters. Does anyone know of any options without having to get the entire intake kit?

No benefit in doing so. We have +600whp M4s running stock airboxes, it's not a choke point.

Oh it's not for power, I'm perfectly satisfied with the power for now. It's all about the sound. Back in 2014 I had a little Focus ST and when I put a cone filter on that, it was unbelievable the amount of turbo noise I got. I'm just trying to hear the spool and the flutter.

Ok, so I pulled the trigger on the CTS Turbo intake kit. I just couldn't bring myself to pay north of $500 for an intake. Got it on sale for like a smidge more than $320 from UroTuning. Like I mentioned earlier I'm not looking for performance gains, just more sound. It's an open system that retains the bottom half of the factory air box for use as a heat shield. I dunno, we'll see. I'll post some pictures and such once it's here and I have a couple hours to throw it on.

Intake system came today. Install was pretty simple, except when you drop a socket head down to the floor pan, finally get it out, and 10 minutes later drop a bolt down there, and have to fish it out too.

Took it on a spin around the block real quick and the turbos sound great, can really hear them spool. As an added bonus it even adds a little BOV woosh also.

So here's the issue. I don't feel like it's boosting as strong as it was. Maybe I'm just getting used to it or maybe...maybe it's something I did. I had a difficult time tightening down the O clamps around the silicon hose on the turbo inlet. I've already checked to make sure the hose didn't come off, and she's still on there. My question is, if those O clamps aren't significantly tightened could I be losing boost around the silicone hose? Would it throw a code if there was a "boost leak" of sorts? Don't get me wrong it's still pulling pretty dang good, but it just feels a tad bit off. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Is there any improvement on throttle response after you installed these M4 intake duct?

With it, there is actual more fresh air entering the intake inlets, so logic says there is an improvement, even if it's only at higher RPMs or WOT..

It certainly can't hurt..
