Why don’t BMW/dealers do more to fuel the fire and push out little drips of info. A super dark poster showing an CSL badge or something? Sent out to potential customers or just anyone! Would cost next to northing and stop people getting bored and spending money elsewhere...I duno...anything!
Because we belittle poeple that claim to have legit info. Just ask the person that leaked the M2CS dealer info sheet. Turns out the info was legit.

No belittling here my friend...
Thankful for any rumours as just the general chat about it interests me...
Seeing as dealers don’t know/tell us anything...any info from here is greatly appreciated, nothing wrong with questioning or playing devils advocate a little tho

There will be M2CS for sale as soon as they come in just with a dealer markup - just like how you can easily buy a GT2RS if you pay over MSRP at a dealer today.

Chances are the CS will sit around just like the M3/4 CS is today.

Dealers love to grow hype and get free interest free deposits from potential customers. Artificial rarity at work.

Dealers can't legally charge over MSRP in Ontario, so shows what you know. Against OMVIC rules...and interest on $1000 is like 59 cents a year these days.

I don't get why they complain, I track and am an aggressive driver, with track pads, fluid and titanium shims to save the boots except from changing color they perform very well.

And as regards the M2 CS:
  • stock: M Sport Brake (2NH) with red calipers (instead of silver);
  • optional: CCB with yellow calipers.

I have already seen ADVERTISED discounts of about $2000 at local dealership near me.

Until the car is actually revealed, no one really knows anything.

You can get the the 763 wheels for 3k from Brian Keller Sun Motors without the cup2 tires. that should save you about 3k.

That's not true. Insiders know things. They also drive and park the car in public already so we can know things from seeing it.

Does anyone know if there will be an online reveal of the CS or do we have to wait until LA auto show in late November? I agree with others as the wait is a pain.

It's been like this since the 135i reveal, at the end of 2007 - nothing new..

Patience grasshopper, after the CS is revealed, the counter resets again for the next gen M2.

It never ends..

Let's not forget that BMW has not even officially confirmed existence of the M2 CS. No word or teaser on social media. No explicit confirmation in interviews. Merely some vague hints. The only public clue so far: M2 CS test mules spotted during testing (Winter & Summer).

So BMW ain't "drawing out" the release. It can take all the time it deems appropriate for the M2 CS sign-off, also with the future release of the G80 M3 in mind. It's rather all of us enthusiasts who are pretty anxious, with (educated) guessing about what's cooking inside the BMW M kitchen, piecing some info and assumptions together.

Once BMW officially presents the M2 CS we can verify whether the info mentioned in the first post of the dedicated M2 CS spy pics thread (see here) was accurate or not.

So who can photoshop the pics of the test mule with the colours including misano blue...?

The ones someone did on the other thread were good...albeit asking too much of what we can expect from the real one..

I disagree. The M2C has been out for some time. Whether they’re testing the M2CS or CSL, they’re clearly testing another iteration of the F87, whatever it might be. No one is fooled. In fact, we are all bored.

And I’m looking elsewhere. Just like before, when I left the brand.

SCOTT has been wrong plenty of times before. Our other resident insider from Boston has also had to change or revise info. That’s not criticism, but the reality of how this shit works.

None of this is gospel until it comes from the source itself.

Example of the "Marshmallow Experiment" (regarding instant/delayed gratification) developed in the 60s/70s at Stanford University:

As much as I would like that the CS would be the perfect weekend/track car for me I suspect I would eventually want to modify things on it, the suspension will probably be too stiff for our broken roads just like the M4cs, the cooling will probably not be enaugh for extended track use, the seats will not allow quick fit pro harness or neither be supportive enaugh.

I also think about the potential track wear on a ''special rarer edition'', my LCI as a full PPF (saves 90% of paint wear), discolored calipers, micro pinned windsheild and a few dings from flying debris and it only has 9000km on it. Keeping the OG M2 and correcting some things for my usage begins to make much more sense.

Switching to a more hardcore car GT4/GT3 is just shifting problems on the other side and whats fun about the M2 is running cost are much less then these cars.

Just sharing my taughts because I'm probably not the only one brainstorming about this
