Also I read that the BMW star spec is actually not recommending for M2s. Apparently the treadwear is different on the star spec and also causes a higher chance of hydroplaning. This is all good info for people to take into consideration when looking to purchase new tires.

Today I got the Dps for my M2C, the car sounds amazing and it got over 50 whp gains just from this mod. The fuel smell from the exhaust are just a bit more but I left the stock catback so the secondary cats are doing their job. I recommend this mod to any M2C owner, but if you are keeping the stock muffler please paint it black, it looks horrible stock silver. Also if you want some extra power crank hub fix, DPs, BM3, intercooler upgrade and Turbos is the way to go, don´t waste your money on expensive Intakes, JB4 or charge pipes they don´t give you any power, stock intakes are really good.
For now my car just got DPs, when my warranty ends will be installing crank hub fix BM3 and more, will be posting all my progress. I got a JB4 but it really dissappointed me, it always got problems and when I dyno my car it actually lost power. I was really mad that day, my tunner said Bmw M engines have a really aggressive ignition map so when you turn up the boost ignition remains the same, it put the engine in a lot of stress, protects itself and the result is power lost. He had been tunning Bmw´s for more than 10 years and he install turbo kits from the 90s so I believe his word, also he has a dyno to prove what he said. Sadly 600 dollar JB4 is now my desk Last edited by daap1193; 02-27-2020 at 01:54 PM.. |

I just changed the oil in my 2020M2C for the first time @ 4,000 miles. Holy shit does that oil come out fast. It easily overwhelmed my shitty AutoZone oil canister. I'll definitely need to find something better suited to the job in the future.
If anyone has any recommendations, that would be great. I also installed the BMS OCC. Trivial install, but the fit was pretty tight. Key hole block on the drivers side door handle. It looks so much better without that ugly ass key hole. And finally, a polar blue start button. I was on the fence about this. I kind of liked the red one it came with, but my GF bought it for me, so I like it. |

I hit 1,000 miles this morning as I pulled into the parking lot at work! I am scheduled to have my carbon fiber interior pieces installed and break-in service done this Friday.

Ooooh what CF interior bits? I'm curious. Also congrats on getting through the breakin period! I'm at about 450 miles as i've been driving the car as much as possible through the week so i'm almost halfway there!

Just the stock ones that come when you get the carbon fiber interior. When I made the deal with the dealership the car I was getting was supposed to have carbon fiber interior, but the salesman and myself overlooked it on the build sheet for the car they acquired for me. The dealer knew what we had agreed on and said they would order the parts and install them for free to make the deal right. Currently my car has the piano black pieces were others have carbon fiber. I call them my break-in interior pieces. lol Soon I will have fresh carbon fiber and "no restrictions" if you follow the break in plan...

Today I took it on it's first road trip. 6 hours of highway driving. At one point I crossed the boarder into Mexico and took her up to 140 mph. This thing pulls like a beast in 3rd through 4th. Then I got off the highway on a dark Mexican frontage road, took all nannies off and hit 1st up to 3rd from a roll to see how the power gets put down. Some tire spin but not bad at all.
Overall, this car is pretty good for highway driving. Seat is reasonably comfortable on long trips. Cruise control has nice functionality, I like the controls. Oh, and I hit a lot of bugs! 🐛 🕷 🐜 |

I am taking my car in for the break-in service tomorrow, so thought I would check the OCC. It has been installed since 150ish miles and I have 1,120ish miles right now.
First photo is of the actual OCC. Second is in a measuring cup. I think it looks dark because it was sitting on the bench. Third is in the measuring cup, but held in the air. It is very light colored with almost no oil if any. Smells more like condensation with residual fuel. Have to say I am happy that I installed it so far. I will try to check it again in another 3,000 and see what I have. |

Spring is in the air....
Turned off rev matching forever in all modes using BM3. Now i can drive it like a normal manual and enjoy it fully in all drive modes. Also turned burbles right down to 0.2 secs but turned up to 10 in sport+ This just gives one occasional single "pop" on overun, but only sometimes. Perfect. ..... Oh and also had Litchfield AST suspension kit fitted last week. Now the car is a proper road weapon. |

So far very good, the car feels softer, smoother as the low speed "fidget" has gone. But as speed build the body control is way way better over bumps dips and crests, especially twisting dips and crests that would unsettle it before. Now it just flies but retains immediate steering response and gives more confidence. You expect softer feel to equal poor handling, but not so. I was doing 120 on a not so smooth A-road blast yesterday, when 80/90 would have been butt-twitching before.... |

So here's a question on oil catch cans--
BMS or Mishimoto? Any real difference? One better than the other? Price is within a few bucks. TIA-- R. |

I never heard of the Mishimoto until this post. I have the BMS and am happy with it, but the Mishimoto looks like it is a better looking mount. Plus it has a bronze filter, so I would have definitely gone with the Mishimoto if I had known about it.
