I hardly even notice it now. Won't be bothered by it as long as they throw in a few extras on the new MY.

Hopefully BMW will announce something during the Geneva auto show

BMW just announced today that the 2021 M2C will include adaptive suspension, a 40hp hp boost, carbon fiber hood, roof and trunk lid, and an MP exhaust.

Oh. Wait. That's the M2CS.

Nevermind.

No MP exhaust on the M2CS from factory.

According to Sport Auto it sounds exactly like an M2C from the outside, from the inside it's somewhat tweaked (probably even more ASD )

I am curious about this topic. A couple quotes below.

"The M2 CS gets a new, dual-brand exhaust system with electronically-controlled valves and two, twin-tailpipes with engraved logos – so-called 'M Sport Exhaust System.' Sound is adjusted via the M Engine Dynamics control in the cabin." Slash Gear

What is the difference between an 'M Performance Exhaust' and 'M Sport Exhaust System?' A better ASD, if there is such a thing as a better ASD?

"It's also worth mentioning that this BMW M2 CS was the U.S.-version which doesn't have the OPF installed. The European version of the M2 CS is likely to sound a little bit less aggressive." BMWBlog

I am curious if the Sport Auto reference you provide was for a European or U.S. release M2 CS model? Not sure it even matters, as the OPF European model might sound worse than the non-OPF M2C; the non-OPF M2 CS might simply sound the same as the non-OPF M2C? Then again, if the M Sport Exhaust System simply has a 'better' ASD, then it might even sound worse than the non-OPF M2C?

So the Geneva auto show was just cancelled...

Understandable, due to current events. However, I still hope BMW announces something next week vs. postponing to a later date.

Love those gold wheels. Are those coming on the 2021 Competition you think, or exclusive to the CS?

The 763M wheels won't be a factory option for the Competition but you can always get them at BMW/ebay, etc

Get it right. There hasn't been a great WRX this century. This on the other hand represents two works of art.

Purely a subjective matter. . . I cannot say the gold wheels work for me, but the Misano Blue has begun to really grow on me.

One thing I have noticed about the BMW paint work is that their colors takes on many different shades and hues as lighting changes. The Misano Blue is no different, and I really like the color in all lighting shown in photos presented to date.

I went from hating Misano Blue to being my color choice for the CS. It really does grow on you after a while. Initially it was the muted blue that dominates in low lighting that I didn't like. I noticed my current Ultra Blue does the same thing and I like it. I also keep my car polished up nicely. Dealership lots aren't the best representation as the cars are usually a little dirty.

Love it. If I didn’t need the back seat, the Cayman is what I’d be driving.

You're probably right on the new release date but the fact the 2020 MY was release in 03/2019, I assume that was the new fiscal model year changeover would begin in March but July is typical.
So even with SOP 7/20 for MY21, when do you think first delivers will be for the US? Potentially, September? The reason is I will need a vehicle in late July / early August. Might be forced to get a MY20, which is not a bad thing.

Currently, one dealer is offering $59.5K OTD fo HS for a MSRP build of $63.4K. I really wanted to do PCD, but not sure if I should also pass on this discount...even though I originally want to build a LBB with moonroof.[/QUOTE]
Don't pass on the discount for PDC. It's fun but you could buy a M school day for that $.

Very true and I also did PCD with my X5 last year.

Regardless, I passed on the earlier vehicle I mentioned because I really wanted a LBB w/ moonroof. Figured I was more focused on the discount than actually choosing a vehicle that I actually wanted.

Looking like ordering is the only option I have, there are very few LBB on lots with my exact spec. In fact, I found some that had ridiculous dealer add-ons. One was almost perfect except it has M performance exhaust and rear lip. I don't need something that loud for my use cases.

My dealer is doing the same thing. If they have one on the lot they are adding a BUNCH of M parts to drive up the price. Glad to hear you aren't settling. Enjoy your LBB

Get the car you want. Ultimately, what's a few months in the scheme of things?

If you want the LBB w/ sunroof, get the LBB w/ sunroof.

These toys are expensive enough to not settle for "Well, it's *sort of* what I want".

Just my 0.03.

I am sure Erhard would love your business, and more than willing to ship vehicle to you.

Michigan is not the hottest M2C market, probably because winter climate predominates. Dealerships not 'marking up' sport cars, rather, more than willing to 'haggle' when it comes to the M2C.

Perhaps worth a phone call if you want to take more immediate delivery of an M2C than custom build will offer.

Good luck.

Much appreciated ///AVM! However, I'm looking for a 6 speed...I have been frequently looking on autotrader, but nothing has come up. My spec: LBB, Exec, Black wheels and moonroof.

Actually this might go well with what we talked about, waiting to see what MY21 may bring before I place an order.
