My understanding from the dealer is that MPE doesn't conform to the ADR's, and so has been discontinued from the performance parts.

That being said, my dealer has still ordered me a MPE which should arrive end of February.

I was told this by the dealer about 6 months ago, you'll still be able to get it overseas and tbh when i was looking it was often comparable to buying here anyways.

I ended up going with the Remus.

BMW Melbourne is having a sale of the M performance exhaust. Don’t know how much though. If I wasn’t getting the M2 competition I would have gotten it

That's a good price if correct, cheapest i could find locally was $6500 with some dealers quoting close to 8k.

FYI when I was shopping around for an exhaust I was offered $5356 inc. fitment and titanium tips from a dealer in Sydney. This was after quite a bit of haggling

I won't reveal the specific dealer as I don't want them to know its me when people will undoubtedly call up, but shop around and negotiate...I suspect there are huge margins on them

Ended up going with Dinan as I preferred the sound and to be honest, build quality on the M performance units are questionable

So, I just picked up a second LCI today. Black DCT this time. Mo the M expert from BMW Melb is the man to go to for your M car needs!

Anyway a couple of early observations:
- the DCT feels a lot faster than the
manual, probably due to closer gear ratios
- MPSS is more compliant than Contis
- DCT suits this car more than I thought it would

Congrats mate.
When you're ready to replace the MPSS (which won't be long for you!), try the PS 4S, they're a noticeable step ahead from PSS.

This is my first DCT M car, and agree Wayne that it is very impressive and super fast shifting box.

The old version has just a bluetooth flap for track mode, press it any time you are on "track" lol.

The new version has a red button in the boot. You need to start engine, get out of car, open boot, press red button to go track mode. PITA.
