You can expect for the full front end alone to be about $3000 for the PFF. Add another 1-2k for the ceramic on top of that. Full car will be more

I would take it even if they told me they red lined the car 20 times... its a car, it's meant to be driven.
This. People forget ordered cars aren't privy to some sort of white glove status. Factory workers drive the car to transport, transport drives it to lot, lot drives it onto the ship, someone offloads the car from the ship to a lot, lot to transport again, then transport to dealership. Plenty of time for someone to abuse it.

Even if it's redlined, it's not so fragile that it's going to fall apart. Take the money.

+1

Well said! If a car falls apart just by redlining before the break-in, then the manufacturer did not do its job and BMW's brand will take a massive hit

I got my entire car done for about $5k, but PPF in general in my area is a bit cheaper than what I've seen from people posting on here that live in the coastal cities. Top notch shop here, as well.

I was considering full front, plus rockers, plus enlarged rear quarters, plus luggage area on rear bumper, and after adding the cost of piecing those areas together, it was worth it to spend 25% more to just have peace of mind of the entire car wrapped. Also zero plans to sell the car ever.

Also, if the car is on the lot, you can get a better deal. They will be more inclined to get rid of the car.

I would totally take what is on the lot. You also get it faster. If it was missing an option or not the right colour, only then would I order the car and wait the 2-3 months.

How many miles on the car sitting on the lot?
It has 20 ish miles and that is my main concern. Do you think it's possible for someone to violate the break in limits and cause issues during a test drive? If not, you're all correct that there's no reason for me to go with the build.
Please don't take this the wrong way, but you are a moron. That's $100 per mile.

Wait, your "new" car will have 8 miles on it. That's $167 per mile. Get some help. Seriously.
