Can someone tell me if the MPE does make more noise than the stock exhaust when the valves are closed? I like it when the car makes more sound for the funny racy moments, but i do'nt like that much sound when comming home or leaving home :-)

One of the things I hate about a lot of the M2 aftermarket exhaust options is how raspy, and bright they make the sound. |

Anyone have the instructions for wiring the new valve in? Can't seem to find them online or in this thread since the links are deleted.

Also, updating on the vibration issue, it's been 4-5 months and I have zero vibration. You can't miss the dimple once you get under there. I had a very tough time getting the MPE to slip far enough over the old exhaust and thus things were very tight on the rear brackets. If I could do it again, I might cut 5-10mm more off forward from the dimple.

Dimple is on the underside correct? I've found the faintest of marks on the underside. Looks like someone tapped a center punch with a feather. Going to be doing some measuring to be sure. |

Installed over the weekend. My cut took ~1.5hrs as well. Was tag teaming the ratcheting with my nephew. Partial break through here too, but that's unavoidable. Left the pipe a few mm long to insure some compression and had no issues getting back on the mounts. Otherwise rest of install went very quick.

I got a question if anyone is kind enough to answer for me.
Installing an MPE soon on my OG M2, and the exhaust didn't come with a clamp so I decided to buy aftermarket. Anyone know the stock exhaust pipe to MPE sizes? I picked up a 3" clamp. Also, I saw a Youtube video of someone installing the MPE on their M2 as well and they said they did no pipe cutting, how so? |

Thanks for the detailed install guide!
I've just bought a used MPE, but im not 100% sure all the parts came with it. It's an Euro spec, so with the stupid red button (which has already been bypassed ) Is this the correct clamp, and does the MPE slide onto the stock exhaust at the cutting point? I think i'm missing this blue fuse holder block? (see 2nd pic, which is not mine) if so, does anyone have a part number or can i do something else to connect it? The other red pin with the black wire is to connect on the earth post i assume? Here's some more pics of what i've got atm. I obviously have the remote controller and the exhaust Can somebody help me out with this? i'm not much of an expert in electricity. A friend of mine which is a car mechanic will install the exhaust and wiring, but is working at an indy, so i want to be sure i have all the correct parts |

Car has been gone for awhile but here goes....
#1 that is the correct clamp #2 Yes they just yanked the wires out of the interface plugs instead of removing them. You need to get them or come up with a way to plug in the green & red wires #3 That is the bluetooth module you ned to install so the remote works. You did get the remote correct? It is that M canister thing with the button in the middle that looks like a keychain fob In the US we don't have to instal the red button thing. That is a euro specific deal |

Update:
For the people who also bought a used MPE with incomplete wiring: You need part number 61139227697 for the interface plug (green wire) I'm not sure yet if you need any of the ''Double leaf spring contact'' as per no.12 here: http://a.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showpa...diagId=61_1280 |

In the past when most with new units had intermittent BT issues it was due to them not having the red wire all the way into the plug...just a FYI I never had issue one....it worked perfect |
