No burbels in sport/sport+ mode

Last few days i noticed there were no burbels in sport or sport+ mode.

I even switched a couple of times to M1/M2 presets but nothing helped.
Anybody got this too?

Mine burbles like it just ate two kraut-laden jalapeño chili cheese dogs with extra onions that it just washed down with a 24oz PBR.

Bone stock.

Have is it ever burbled? Potentially an issue with the coding?

I know the U.S. cars are way louder than the european ones, thanks to OPF filters. Has it ever burbled?

My '21 does not burble a lot, but it does a tiny bit in Sport and more in Sport+. There are some anecdotal reports that 2021 cars may make less noise than pre 21, but it should still do it.

Mine burbles/crackles/brays, but the amount varies based on conditions. For example, the best sound of my M2 is when its has been driven and the engine is warm and I park the car for say 30-60 minutes. Upon startup (and in S/S+ mode), and driving off, the sound of the car is just amazing. Lots of crackling/braying upon acceleration for the first minute or two. Sublime...

My absolute favorite part about the sound of this car is that shriek it has right after starting it up and acceleration to about 3k RPM in 1st and 2nd

My car has always had the burbles so I am not sure what OP is experiencing. I have a 2021 with Valvetronics Designs exhaust now but even all stock I had great burbles.

I do know the burbles do not start for around 2-5 minutes of driving. Maybe OP is just taking super short trips?

Agreed! Assuming you also mean when the car is already warm and you take off in S/S+?

I have never taken off in S with a cold engine, so wouldnt know.

Could we be confusing burbles with pops and bangs? Burbles will consistently happen around 2k RPM (I'm not sure, I've had them turned off) on deceleration. Pops and bangs are more of a treat that happen under certain conditions. IE on upshift on S+ after the engine is sufficiently warmed up to around 220-230 (Fahrenheit) for consistent noises. Hard to do on regular street driving since S+ keeps the thermostat open longer and keeps the temps to 160.

So OP has yet to come back and clarify whether he's ever gotten the burbles before.

My friend has a 2021 M2C with DCT and gets close to zero burbles. Has never had them.

Meanwhile on my 2020 6MT I coded them out.

I'm on the boat of people thinking they changed something with the 2021 models when it comes to the deacceleration burbles

I have had burbels and crackels before.

I got a lightweight exhaust and they installed a device that is under my "RES" button on the steering wheel, so i suppose that is what you mean by valvetronic control.

And i noticed yesterday after a 30min drive so that can't be the issue

I have a 2021 and have always had pops/bangs/burbles from deceleration in S+ as stock. I got executive farts/claps on upshifts as well. My exhaust only made them better.

Mine is manual though so I have always had direct control over when they happen outside of when the computer wants to warm up the engine or skips it for whatever reason.

I turned mine off, and I've never looked back. I found them to be childish and annoying.

I love the burbles. Especially if you're burblin' on a road between two stacks of buildings where the sound is enhanced.

I didn't mind them until I put the Dinan exhaust on. After that, they got stupid annoying and very lengthy. It is nice having the ability to turn them on and off when I want with Bimmerlink.

My car is bone stock, and every time I drive it, I'm amazed at how good BMW made our cars.

(A shame all the G Series stuff is just not to my liking.)

I just realized that my car got an update by the dealership some time ago.
Maybe that there went something wrong

Did you ask them or how did you find out?

Maybe this newer software is what comes preloaded on many of the 2021 cars that never had burbles to begin with? 🤷*♂️

I don't know why you want them. It sounds bad and like someone else said juvenile.
