Its a European car, so it will be heading for Laguna Seca. Possibly to sit on a plinth, when US Specification cars will be used for the media.

So all of the media reviews will be done at Laguna Seca, this is great news.It is a fantastic track to test a car.

I don't get how this M2 could end up at Laguna Seca, when the OP already showed the shipping destination as being Houston Texas.

Maybe I exaggerated a bit. But after adjusting the seats to give me that bucket seat feeling. It's doable, but will be impossible for someone other than a toddler to sit behind you. And the seats are electric, so they take forever to move about. Lol.... I want this car!
It's not an IPE sounding beast though like yours

3193LBS=1448kg?

That's not exactly heavyweight for a DCT equipped M2!

My 1M weighs more or less the same with 18 inch lighter wheels (wintersetup) than the 19 inch setup and about a quarter of a tank. And with electrical seats.

Does the M2 in this thread have the 'loaded' package incl electric seats?

Cheers
Robin

My M235i according to the documents, weighs around 1600 will a full tank. Mine has the sunroof and the 8 speed. It seems to good to be true for the M2 to be around 1400.

That's lighter than expected, no? Should have very decent power to weight and handling.

Yep - perhaps like the engine is certainly underrated, perhaps BMW is being coy with the weight on purpose.

Does the 1870kg total weight include something more than the 650lbs skid? How much gas it has in the fuel tank?

Quite decent weight, I would have expected it to be quite a bit heavier.

What's the difference between "total weight" of 4123 lbs and "net weight"?

No way a DCT equipped M2 weighs 3193 lbs.

The M235i weighs around 3,500lbs, very doubtful the M version will shade that much weight especially a DCT one.

No, I dont think so, I am approx. your height, slightly taller, and can fit in the 2 series coupe very well. Now of course, it isn't a 7 series, and I have the seat pushed all they way back and all the way down, so no one could realistically sit behind me, but hey, sometimes you must make a compromise.

Continue reading my other post, and you will see i over exaggerated a bit!
The seats are still comfortable and there's leg room to move about. Too bad for any backseat drivers though :

The key here is understanding the difference between the "total" and "net" weight figures.

If the "total weight" of 1870 kgs equals car + skids, then the net weight of the car is 4123 - 650 = 3473 lbs

If the "net weight" of 3843 lbs equals car + skids, then the net weight of the car is 3843 - 650 = 3193 lbs

My opinion? 3473 lbs is much more believable for a DCT-equipped car than 3193 lbs...

I don't think I've ever wanted a car so bad in my entire life...what a machine. Thanks so much for sharing these. Can't wait until the dust settles and I can place an order at invoice (not over)...probably be waiting for a while, but it'll be worth it.
