I mean, I love it. I have always kind of disliked blue cars, but this color has totally converted me. With a high quality black roof, the M Performance Grill and the CF trunk spoiler... ooo this thing is going to look mean!!!

If the color is more representative in the video then I'm not sure...I really love some of BMW's blues, I've had Estoril Blue on an e36 M3, Laguna Seca Blue on an e46 M3, and also had Montego Blue on a 335i. Adem1534 would you say the color is a mix between Estoril and Laguna Seca with the metallic properties of Estoril and more of the "green" from LSB? I think in person, I would really like this, and I don't like the "Duller" alternatives (Grey, White, Black). Decisions, decisions....

thanks for all your effort

LBB looks like the camera phone pics and NOT Nikon pics IMO. i've seen iND's X5M in LBB and it definitely has a greenish-blue hue to it.

only benefit i see of the "stock" mirrors are they definitely fold in more than my M3 mirros.

Great color! Can't way to see the car and LBB in person. Great angles with the photos. Thanks for sitting in traffic and capturing these. I tried to find the one supposedly in GA. No dice.

Thanks for the effort with this. Nice work. I much prefer the Nikon colour than the phone pics. Hmm
Can you provide the link of the vid as I want to watch in HD directly in YouTube. When I copy and paste the link from the share button it can't find it. Plays low quality on bimmerpost app. Thanks
EDIT:No worries I got it

Thanks for posting these photos. Just when I think I've settled on MG, I see great pics of LBB.

So much turquoise. Tanzanite would've been perfect on this. MG it is.

Your video shows exactly what LBB really looks like in person. That it is a turquoise blue that looks very similar to Atlantis Blue.It really is a unique color and looks fantastic.

Are you also saying in the video, that the inner exhaust tailpipes are slighter longer than the outer ones, because that is also the way it appears in the video.
Yep. Well, maybe I should put it this way: the inner pipes extend further. I'm not sure technically if they are longer. But they protrude farther out.

I agree with your assessment of the M4: great from the front and rear...loooooong from the profile and other angles.

BMW's biggest mistake was naming this color "Long Beach Blue". It should be called "Chameleon Blue" because the color changes right before your eyes and the color is different in every single pic.
I totally agree. That's why no one can come to a conclusion regarding how it looks. "Too much blue, guess I gotta go black." "Too much green guess I need to go white". "Aw man, that looks straight up like teal".

The answer is that it is a varying shade of blue green that changes based on the lighting and environment. Chameleon blue would have been a perfect name

From what it sounds like you'll love the color sometimes and be indifferent about it at others. The blue aspect of it is very similar to Estoril and Montego Blue. However, in some lighting conditions the blue fades and the green becomes apparent, giving it a teal look.

The green at this point is, however, not overpowering. You don't look at the car and think 'that's a green car'. A vast majority of people will look at it and call it 'blue'. There is always a shade of blue at all times. It just varies in intensity. When the green is being brought out, it is more greenish than Laguna Seca Blue. The dynamic properties of the color mix well with the car. The color is superb at accentuating the car's lines because of the way it shows bends.

Like I said in the original post, the color is unlike any other color I've seen before. Maybe just for that reason, you'll love it. It's a very unique color. I personally would not be afraid of it being too green. The green doesn't always show itself, and even when it does, I'd still say it's a blue car.

Of course! It was awesome seeing it. And I'm glad I can do something to help others see more of it also. I can't wait to start sharing our M2 builds with all of bimmerpost.

Yeah, the Nikon pics didn't pic up the green. Very weird. The cell got it spot on.

Yeah the M3 mirrors are sick. With it had them. Just not upset about it. My buddy has an M3 and I'm already dying to do an M2/3 shoot!

Was just about to link it haha. Anyways, yeah, what you see in that video is the exact color I saw with my own eyes.

Ugh thanks for the amazing review and photos Adem1534 but you're seriously making me regret my decision of taking myself off #1 spot at my dealer

Nice Job!

A few things I noticed.

1) The hips/arches/haunches - yeah they look really good! But I think a lot of people overlook the front and stare at the rear wheel hips. But, the fronts are quite pronounced as well. What did you think of these? From the photos it looks quite obvious attention getters... The car kind of reminds me of the 911 hourglass.

2) As the for the colour, would you say that the brighter the reflection the greener the colour / the darker the section the bluer the colour? For example, the M2 and all modern BMW's have some nice creases on the surfaces. At certain angles, the creases are the brightest. Areas closer to these creases are not only lighter and more reflective, but they are more green tinged. Whereas portions which are flatter and perhaps don't catch the sun as much are less green tinged. When I had the sample of LBB in hand at the dealer, I kind of felt this way about the colour.

3) Also, semi-related to this, I notice that the bottom rocker panel with its sharp edge really works well in underlining the car and draw out its length more. This line is similar to other BMW's including the e92 m3, but I find that this colour can really work this shape well and pronounce it. On the m3's I've seen both black and white don't make this edge pop as much.

I wish the front was a little more subtle. What makes the M3 looks great is the front bumper doesn't stick out much past the grille. The M2 looks huge.
