Hey BAN_M2C - I am looking at getting a Dinan Heat Exchanger too. Couple questions if you can answer.
What was the installation time? I got a quote and it seemed stupid long.
What are you going to do about a tune? Are you getting a Dinan HE tune or something else?
TIA!

I dont recall exact time, I believe Dinan page has the approximate install time. I also did my charge pipes same day so was tracking time, we just shoot the shit at the shop on weekends.

I did not get a tune. I am like doing in the next month, but almost sure it wont be Dinan.

Gotcha, thanks, appreciate the reply.
Car looks great, BTW. Really like the build you're doing.

Great thread, great build, and a great looking car! I was wondering if:

1) You've had any issue with sticking the GoPro directly to body/paint (and will it still suction on after the coating)?
2) What your route was from Munich to Stelvio?

Thanks man!

No issues with the GoPro, the two exhaust videos had the suction cup on the bumper (one video on the side and the other in the middle of the bumper) Held on no issues regardless of the ceramic coating.

The Munich to Stelvio route was aggressive with not many stops. Plan was leaving Welt at around 11am after getting the car and heading straight to the Neuschwanstein Castle (roughly 2 hour drive) spend an hour or two there and then drive straight to Stelvio to stay that night (3 hour drive) and then drive the Pass in the morning).

Doing the XPEL TracWrap in front of the Welt took much more time than I planned because everyone stopped to ask about the car and the PPF and I am the type of person that can talk for days with other gear heads.

So my timeline shifted to the right like 3 hours. Got to castle before closing, spent a couple hours there then headed to Stelvio and got routed through the Pass at pitch black night 11pm and 25F degrees with the tires slipping like crazy. Scary stuff but next day was amazing.

Good to know on the GoPro!

I live in Europe at the minute so the car needed to get the PPF done here at some stage so decided right away was the way to go so drove west from Munich and dropped it off two hours later in Dorfen to have the Xpel installed. It took two days but we toured in a rental, it's a wonderful area.

Worth surrendering the car a couple days! PPF is a life saver for the car!

I cant wait to vacation in Europe again. It was truly amazing!

Picked up a spare set of 473M from a fellow M2 owner in Florida to setup as my spare track set. Wrapped in 255/35/19 and 275/35/19 Potenza RE71R.

They clear with no spacers. Fronts sit close to spring but dont touch. Rear clears no issues.

I had read that KW HAS robs 15mm clearance inside on fronts but they cleared. I am removing my spacers all around (12/10mm) and fitted 275 rear and 255 fronts Bridgestone Potenza RE71R

That looks way better than comp wheels really shows the caliper and huge rotors.

Love the FI-Rs...My opinion would be to remove the front plate and the M colors on the lower part of the front bumper. It would look so clean. Amazing build!

I appreciate it! Car had some stickers from some shows it had and also the Ig handle. Always planned to remove before a shoot and once IG hit 5k. Plate is getting beat by rocks so moving inside car to preserve. But Im leaving the M colors on bumper a while longer 👌🏻
