I can't watch that video anymore. It almost ruined the whole car for me. I've been a 4yr fanboy and it left me feeling helpless and alone. Lol

They're stock wheels. Whoopdeedoo.

RV fitment. Narrow widths and horrible offsets. Superior options in the aftermarket.
They also only weight 20lbs; for stock, 19 inch wheels, that's almost unheard of..

They still look lame. Narrow and horrible offsets. Aftermarket has superior options.

Exactly. They make the whole car look taller and shorter.

Love the gloss black. They make the wheel look larger as they play with light in a way that satin finishes don't. First 763 finish I've loved.

The satin finished ones blend too much with the tyre for mine.

As for the body colour. I watched the YouTube videos of HS and MB with black wheels on my 90" screen with 4K projector. Weirdly enough that really helps with perception.

The outcome? I still can't decide

Come on mate ! Its not weird ! They give you the sense that you re buying something special , its a fuckin cs ! It has to be head turner ! Yolo black wheels are on anything nowadays ! So special ! No wonder why BMW chose them on their car launch trailer and in the LA Autoshow !

Is it just me, or do others feel like this M2CS is never going to show up on our shores? We've been talking about this thing forever!

Just get here already! I've lost my patience

I agree...

Even the Futura are open for ordering and almost ready for delivery from what I have heard from dealers.

This looks good to me, but it's the muted gold that I like. It may be that it looks better with the yellow calipers. I'll bring some tea leaves to the dealership and let the universe decide. It will be the models with gold wheels on the build sheet that are future ultra rare models. I've thought about speccing based on how rare the combo. White/gold/ccb

BMW does not decide what is special and desirable. Whether M2C vs M2CS, gold vs black wheels, etc . . . it is the consumer that decides what is special and desirable.

It has been stated many times and in many different ways, BMW and the consumer fell ass-backwards into something very special with the M2C. Once in a generation ///M car.

I am all for anyone who wants an M2CS. Going to be great car. Has to be great, as it is just an M2C with some cosmetic changes. If a potential buyer finds a particular paint color, wheel color, etc special to them, that too is great and a proper basis for purchase decision.

Again, however, if a potential buyer is making a purchase decision based off what they think BMW is promoting as 'special,' or predict what other consumers will think of the car in the near or distant future . . . well, that is surely a setup for disappointment.

Some tests were meant to be planned this week in the UK according to Joe Achilles. Unfortunately Covid19 has meant this was cancelled.

Yes. Not rocket science is it. Cars not being shipped. Tests against stay at home policies. Most YouTube channels re-hashed content from home.

You can see in the above review how MB looks next to a really nice blue. Many pics on the computer appear flattering, but are misleading.

I urge those really thinking of getting MB to see it in person. It is smurf blue bad (at least to me).

My wife has a San Marino Blue M3 CS. MB next to it would look just like the above review pic...not gonna do it.

After cars in black, silver, and a E46 M3 in Sterling Gray for 18 years, I REALLY wanted a M2 CS in blue or red. Not happening.

Nothing that has not been pointed out here before, but just a reminder.

EKG

Indeed, you MUST see the color in person.

As I have stated before, I dig the LBB online and it is a complete let down to me in person. Conversely, HS does not do anything for me online, and I absolutely love it in person.

Of course, it is all subjective, so I am not telling anyone what they should like. Rather, echoing what you state in that it is important to confirm your online impression in person.

That's not a very good video. There are much better ones. It's a very nice blue for this car.

I actually hate San Marino blue though. It looks like an ink spill.

Having said that I'm 75% on HS now. I keep looking at my HS car and thinking how good this one will look with all the extra contrast. Love the Misano Blue on this car though!

I am 99.5% settled on HS with regular brakes and black 763s.

The other 0.5% is considering AW. First time I have ever contemplated white, which is due to the very unfortunate limited color selection.

Reopening and wishful thinking about supply and demand: in Germany, Volkswagen reopened ...but is required to adjust: "Volkswagen will pause the production of four key models just weeks after reopening its manufacturing headquarters in Germany as anaemic demand for new cars in Europe dashes industry hopes of a quick recovery."

Financial Times - May 13, 2020 - "VW to pause production of key models as hopes of quick recovery dashed - German carmaker to idle assembly lines for best-selling vehicles within weeks of reopening" | source: here.

Wondering: as teams in car manufacturing factories are reduced or re-arranged because of lockdown measures and as we can imagine that there will be quite some pressure to hurry up in clearing the backlog of scheduled (postponed) cars (customers are waiting for deliveries), will this whole corona crisis situation affect the build quality of cars built with reduced/re-arranged teams in corona times (rather than a "business as usual" situation with fully operational optimized teams of experienced workers) ? After so-called "Friday afternoon cars", soon also "Corona cars" (M2 Corona Special) ?

A bit weird that you cannot spec to your tastes such a car .

I wonder if this is BMW corporate decision or BMW SA decision. It could be that RHD production will end before they could get all the orders in and this is the only way for SA to get cars. US M2CS production is on schedule and will all be MY20.

I haven't heard anything tangible on schedule - have you? Earliest US deliveries? It sure seems like US deliveries are going to be very late in the year, seeming like December ish. But I haven't heard anything tangible to support that either and not sure how they are deciding what would be a 2020 versus 2021 MY.

Does anyone know if they have at least restarted the production line?
