Since they all seem to be identical, and the order sheets etc aren't out (and training for the SA's is this Friday) I think it'll sort itself out this week.

We arent sure they are completely locked yet. No bulletin was released and it is showing no options as of yet. This is the weirdest launch I have ever seen.

Yes, they just aren't modifiable yet. All are in 111 or 112 status (which is modifiable). Once they reach 150 status they are locked. And yes, they will be modifiable at some point for sure. They are all the same spec right now and obviously that's not the way it's going to go. It may be similar to M3 CS launch in the sense that dealers were not able to modify via the normal configurator in Dealerspeed but instead had to list the build specs in a note to the head office which would then set the configurations. Either way I'm not worried about it.

If you weren't here, the stress levels of a number of forum members I think would be off the charts and there would be canceled deposits. So thank you for that! I'm lucky in that this default config is "my" config, so I didn't stress much even though I was shocked at it already being set.

Interesting. Hendrick has two dealerships, so I'm guessing each gets 1 car.

"I may or may not have already built an excel sheet to keep track of EVERYTHING! LOL."

I was just about to do this so I could search and sort

Happy to help! As things progress I'm planning to keep record of all of the production and chassis numbers, along with build spec and sold status. I'm kind of excited! ...and kind of OCD. Okay, very OCD!

Oh man, LOVE IT! Are you getting one as well, or just enjoying the spectating? I'm pretty obsessive about stuff like this, so having this kind of info to go along with the ownership side is awesome. So another big thank you from another slightly compulsive person

Glad you doing this. I'd like to see a break down of ordering combinations. I suspect Misano Blue will be about 50% followed by HS, BSM, and W

I think an update in like a week with cars that haven't been modified or marked p1 would help the smiling and dialing .

Cheers! Yes, I'm getting one. I'm #1 on the list at Schomp BMW of Highlands Ranch. We were allocated 2 cars and have a list that has 7 people on it. I'm excited to see the take rate on DCT vs Manual and CCB vs. Steel. Also interested to see how long they last in "3 - Priority Stock" before moving to "1 - Customer Sold"

There will be a window while they are in production but not shipped (and therefore cannot be RDR'd - Retail Delivery Registration) which will allow me to compile all of the specs of each car.

Question,

Do you see build week too per allocation?

No, not in the locator area, it should be available as things settle in. Right now a lot of information is still missing.

I suppose they could. Priority 2 is "Center Own Use". One dealer in Texas has already done this with one car. It would come out of their allocation though it would seem; not likely to be replaced.

Sometimes the boss of a dealership likes to drive one of the coolest cars of his store and it's also an eye-catcher to grace the showroom.

Wild. who has enough pull to make a store order as P2, punch it as demo, and pass on the savings to the customer...

For sure, We got 3 1M's back in the day. Our owner still has his VO 1M that's sitting in storage...never been driven

Looks like there have been updates to the number of allocations to dealers. Total is still 466 as of now.
