I'm just wondering if the CF roof will be an option on the M2C when the CS hits. Probably not.

I also wonder if they will phase out Long Beach Blue and Sunset Orange when the CS hits for the new Misano Blue?
Iirc someone posted the colour options in this thread: white, black, hockenheim silver and misano blue

Yes very good, interesting question. As you know there is no HS or SO on the M2CS so would they carry it on with the M2C.

Own thing is for sure, this whole first generation of M2 has kept us all on our toes!

Are we all assuming armrest delete, cloth door pulls etc too.

I think I would pay to have an armrest delete fitted to my M2 LCI. Driving with the armrest up to get it out of the way of my elbow while changing gear is beginning to irritate me.

This bothers me too. If you drive with the seat lowered down it makes the problem even worse. I've been thinking about a thin console door retrofit. I haven't found one so it may be a DIY project.

I like everything that was announced for the M2CS so far, except the exterior colour choices.

I really hope BMW M is reading this and would offer another colour exclusive for the M2CS like LRG for the M3/4CS. Misano is a great colour but it was the launch colour of the X2...

I agree it's quite nice and almost like a Mexico blue but it's not very exclusive now being X2 standard MSport and Z4 also.

I really think that’s on purpose - besides HS for the M2C, no truly exclusive color has existed for the 1M or M2. If you give people choices at this price point, the M3/4 become less relevant. Just my $.02...

The 1M got Valencia Orange for launch colour which was then used on other platforms after.

The 1M got Valencia Orange as launch color by coincidence. It was the first BMW getting this color. Later, VO became available for several other BMW models. A 1M under development was presented in VO to former BMW M boss Dr. Kay Segler. He liked the color and so, unexpectedly, VO even made it to 1M production.

"Why Valencia Orange?
Ironically, the 1M was first presented to Dr. Segler in Valencia Orange and it was so good that the color made it to the production model. As a fun fact, we observed Dr. Segler was wearing a new Rolex Milgauss which had a black dial with orange second hand and dash marks. True love for the color scheme…"

http://www.bmwblog.com/2011/01/21/bm...-need-to-know/

"The VO (Valencia Orange) color was a future color in the BMW pipeline. Dr Kay Segler liked it so much he insisted they make the 1M in that color. Then they knew they would have to offer a white and black color - bc every car looks good in those colors. He told us how they really wanted to offer different color stitching accents for each color - but they were tight on a budget plus they were really running out of time. So only one interior color was approved. [...] They told us how well the 1M sold given limited color choice and being that the car was only offered in a manual transmission. The car sold far better than BMW ever thought it would. This confirms that there will be an M2 in time."

BMWBLOG: "I’m trying not to pry but it's tough! Can you tell us about a few design highlights of the 1M Coupe? Any details are welcome!"
Dr. Kay Segler: "The one thing I can tell you is that we will reveal a color, and similar to the GTS color, it will not be forgotten. People in some years will recognize it. That's one detail."

I believe it was used simultaneously on other cars, but I might be wrong - my main point is that they continue to artificially limit things that (in my opinion) don't make a lot of sense, like exterior colors available.

Hi, do you know if the MPE available for the M2 Competition is compatible with the M2CS for North America? Thanks
