CSF charge cooler and heat exchanger install DIY - Easy work for an afternoon

All right yall, new week and time for a new project!

I am a HUGE believer in supporting the subsystems of your car if you are taking it past stock, and cooling is critical. Simply just tuning and turning up the power and torque increases stress on the motor, greater heat and more pressure.

Because of that, I really think every BMW S55 owner should look to improve their charge cooler/heat exchanger system with the upgrade from Kies Motorsports!

The CSF Radiators charge cooler has a 60% larger core than OEM and is all metal and avoids metal on plastic weak points. I also think its vital to also change the heat exchanger (dedicated radiator) with the upgrade as well. The exchanger has 26% larger surface space, including a rock guard (a must for the track!), is 15mm thicker, and a much denser core. Yet is plug in play install!

This will better support the whole system, and bring a new level of cooling, especially on multiple dyno runs days, track days or even just hotter weather. The longer your charge cooler can stay ahead of the heat, the better your car will perform.

Plus.. there are lots of really cool colors and other choices if you want for the charge cooler too. I went stealth black, staying in theme for my M2C Lillith. 8)

Check it out!

Nice, do you need to get it tuned again for these upgrades?

No tuning changes needed, just makes the core system run more effeciently.

Another great DIY. Thanks!
Aside from staying cooler, are there any other benefits for doing this mod? Does it change the sound or allow better air flow?

it's a closed loop so won't change engine or intake sounds in any way. Just more cooling.. ideally will heat soak slower and recover more quickly.
