Regarding the Automotive Passion CF flaps, one thing I didn't love was the way the installations show it between the metal fender and the plastic wheel well liner. It seems to create a little "opening" at the top of the flap where debris will sneak in and accumulate. Wondering if anyone has noticed this, or if anyone has considered mounting them over the plastic wheel well liner instead, and if that seems possible?

How are these holding up so far from people who have had them for some time?
Would love to here input from anyone who has the carbon ones, or even those rally looking ones. Can't believe I haven't seen this thread. Definitely want a set. |

I've ran the Automotive Passion CF ones for a few months, couldn't really tell you if they're "working" or not but they're very unobtrusive when they're on the car; from most angles you can't even tell they're there. |

(https://m.facebook.com/rallyflapZ/). Not as up scale as the carbon ones but a bit more coverage and still very unobtrusive. No one seems to notice them at all yet they keep the majority of the junk off the rear fenders. Very happy I added them. |

Thanks for the responses guys. As much as I like the look of the carbon ones, I feel the rally ones would accomplish the job much better.
Unless its confirmed the carbon one gets the job done just as well. |

I bought the Rally FlapZ ones first and then the CF ones. I find the Rally FlapZ ones have done a very good job over our northern winter where the city gravels and sands the roads. These flaps aren't magical as some rocks are still going to get by but the amount of little specs on the PPF is minimal. I thought I would try the CF ones because they do look nicer but once I put compared both in person I realized there's a considerable difference in coverage and as of yet have still resisted swapping them out as to be honest I barely even notice the Rally FlapZ ones on my car as they just blend in.

Does anyone know the best way to push these "pins" in? I ordered Autotecknic's version through IND and can't find any instructions. Also didn't come with any 3M tape if anyone has any recommendations?

Just push twice, once to get the rivet through the hole, once more to lock. You can add 3m tape yourself, it holds without as well.

Are these better than the RW carbon ones? I think they're basically around the same price once you do a USD conversion but I think RW carbon is in the US.

for those using the double sided tape...since the US distributor didnt send me any and told me it was "optional" is it the 3M VHB tape or is that too strong?

I used whatever they had at the hardware store and it's been adequate - 3M Extreme Mounting Tape. I would agree with the other poster though - I doubt "too strong" is a problem here - if you have some VHB go ahead and use it. |

This would eliminate the slight gap as pointed out in the quoted post.

I bought these. The guy is new and actually sent two pairs and screws for each. Couldn't be happier for $19!
The material is a very sturdy but flexible plastic. Definitely good enough quality for year round use, but I plan on replacing each winter. https://www.etsy.com/listing/8467514...saAuwCEALw_wcB |
