Hey M2 folks,
I'm invited to a M2C preview event in Switzerland this Friday. Apparently it will be presented by a BMW race driver. If you still might have any question or are interested in any special pics..let me know and I will see what I can do...don't know what will be allowed to do with the car yet... Cheers, Dan |

I’d also really love to learn more about the upgraded rear suspension, specifically the new ball joints in the rear. How do they improve performance and handling? If accessible would also like some pics of them.
If they would allow this (doubt it) could you please get some WOT video of the car in its different modes, comfort, sport and sport +? Thanks |

I am seriously considering it now also, although I keep thinking, I wanted a smaller car than the M3, but if it's lighter, does it matter? |

I have driven a few M2's now. (I love em) Did a golf outing a few weeks back and crammed into a LBB M2, felt toss-able with me and 2 golf buddy passengers. It was a tight fit for the guy in back. We also had 2 sets of golf clubs in the trunk, also a tight fit. So that would be 3450+200+220+160+golf clubs. There will be some people here that say it is a sin to drive it ONE pound over weight, in fear it will lose its dynamics? I found the M2 to be playful even with that much weight. Still cornered well too. I didn't take it to the track with 3 dudes and golf clubs, so I cannot answer to any time trials... but at 4000 lbs, I was able to steer with the backend whenever I wanted. Did a sweet drift just to show the owner of the car it could be done with 4000+lbs. Color him impressed. Short answer: with the right amount of skill, determination, and right foot medicine almost any RWD can feel "toss-able"

Curb weight when ready and with driver 1733kg, as stated in the technical data sheet. 1650 without driver.

As i understood they‘ll let us drive plenty of other M‘s, but probably not the M2 Competition. I was warned, no fotos allowed in the closed room where the M2C will be presented! :/ Albin Mächler (the race driver, www.albins.ch) will be on site and tell about his experience with the M2C Last edited by ///M Houbi; 05-23-2018 at 01:29 PM.. |

I just find it quite interesting that there are these M2C preview events in several countries (Canada, some EU countries) but not a single activity in the US, which is the most popular market for the M2 per FvM. Even the pricing guide isn't officially out yet and the US is supposedly expected to receive the initial slots in production.
