Yet Another Delivery/First Impressions
Hi All,
I know a decent number of people have already posted their M2C delivery and impressions, but since many of you are still waiting I thought some more photos can't hurt. Picked it up today at Brian Jessel BMW in Vancouver Canada First Impressions: Like many other new owners the first thing I noticed is that the HS is gorgeous, it takes on different shades depending on the lighting condition but it's always very elegant. Not as striking as the SO but I don't need the extra attention. Dark wheels are a great fit for the colour IMO. The ride is surprisingly comfortable (helped by some very nice seats). Coming from a 997 C4S this feels like a luxury car in comparison. The suspension is nicely damped and it corners very flat. The throttle response is very linear, doesn't have the low end grunt but since I've always driven NA cars it felt very familiar. The clutch and gear lever however is too light for me, almost feels like it's not connected to anything. I prefer having to shift with some intention. Exhaust is very quiet (and that's coming from someone who doesn't like loud exhausts). Didn't notice the ASD much but even in sport+ you have to row down the window and turn off the radio to hear much. From the outside it sounds great though. Also head room is plenty even with the sunroof (I'm 6'1") but a small issue I found is that I can't see the full gauge cluster... The steering wheel either crops the top or the bottom, a small nitpick. And umm... the illuminated seat badge is pretty cool (bit of a gimmick but I like it). Overall the M2C is a very refined sports car... It won't give you the raw feelings of a older Porsche or Lotus but as far as modern sports cars go you really can't go wrong. I'm very happy with this purchase. |

Looks great - I like HS more and more as the pictures keep rolling in.
I think you're right, the dark wheels are the way to go with HS - do you happen to have any side shots, from further back? Would love to see how this combo looks from a distance.
