The car has whatever the stock alignment is. Rear grip is excellent to excessive.
Camber would help with tire wear, but I can't bring myself to put camber plates in, so I just drive it as fast as I can stock.

I’d venture to say that if you put plates on and went 275/35 in the front you’d get better wear and the plates would pay for themselves. Not to mention better grip and quicker times. Your input gives me even more hope that my rear setup will work as stock rear camber is -1.8 deg and -2.1 will give more top tire edge clearance. BTW, no aftermarket parts are needed to adjust rear camber & toe. Last edited by ZM2; 03-22-2020 at 08:45 PM.. |

I do ok as-is. I actually enjoy seeing what I can get out of the stock setup. I save my "mod bug" for my crapcan racecar. Keep us posted.

Do you need a camber plate to do anything besides adjust camber? |

Got it.
I only recently picked up a small rattle on my driver’s side over certain bumps after 50 or so track days and 30k miles, but I haven’t investigated enough yet to determine the cause. Sounds like spring rattle which could be a worn bump stop. |

The only plates without the spherical (K-MAC) had other issues (grit in the bearings).

Any particular reason you think that wont work with the M2? I'm planning on running 295/30R18 all around in STU trim for autocross next year. Tyspeed is running the same size all around on their track prepped M2 with something like a +15 offset up front on 10.5" wide wheels.

Is it doable? Sure, but you either need to have a prepped race car or be a crazy person. That setup will only fit up front on a lowered car with some serious fender work, or you likely won't be able to lower it much. And, there's no way it's a true square setup, unless you're going to run a 20-25mm spacer up front. Plus, if you get it to work it's going to throw all kinds of stuff all over the side of the car b/c the tires stick out so far. I see the tagline in your signature, so IDK, let us know what you decide to do. Last edited by ZM2; 06-25-2020 at 11:04 AM.. |

I haven't mounted anything on the EC-7R's, yet, so I can't provide additional info for a bit. My focus is track driving on a mod'ed daily driver, vs AutoX or racing (at least with my M2). Other folks may have some input, as well. |

I agree, I think the overall offset is going to need to be somewhere around +15 to not have contact with the shock. With a fender roll, maybe it'll work? I'm running 275's all around right now without any issues, so another 10mm on each side SHOULD be possible with camber and a fender roll. I'm not too concerned about the getting crap thrown on the side of the car as I'll only be running the 295's for competition use, and will otherwise run the stock sizes for DD use... Quote:
I think the 295 yok could fit on the front in stock form...just with maybe some rubbing at full lock. I havent tried it because well...I just dont see a reason to run the yok's with how little camber the M2 can get up front in BS set up...yok's arent any faster than the other tires without camber, and they die faster then too...so for now the 275 goodyears are doing just fine

I ruled out 285/295 square early on bc I’m keeping a suspension setup that works for staggered on the street and track. And, I wouldn’t fully discount the 295s not throwing rocks and other things on the side of your car whether in AutoX or on track. You’ll def get some dings and whatnot from all that rubber sticking out. But, I get your motivation. It’s why I started this thread! |

At the end of the day....I want to try to find every single advantage I can out of the car, even if its at the sacrifice of something else...because we have a sickness lol I actually wouldnt mind a staggered set up for track in some cases, but autocross/time trials...I definitely need as much front wheel/tire as I can possibly fit.

285 Stone's I could easily see fitting square o the M2, just really not sure how to cram the 295 Yoko up front. If it can be done though the car honestly might be too good. My e92 right now doesn't work right with the current setup still so needs more time/testing to get it right. Maybe I'll run it in STUL or something still this year but Pax is an uphill battle in L3. Plus, it's too under-tired on 265's Yoko's and too costly when they last 43 runs. So 'Vette right now it is in terms of competitiveness and cost! If I can put some 295 Yoko's on I'll be a happy camper, the e9x needs it. But with similar tires, lighter weight/size, and more low-end torque though the M2 is easily the better car though in otherwise similar setup.
